I have used Turbo Tax for at least ten years and would not consider any other method for filing our taxes.
What's great about it: Always easy to use and intuitive
What's not so great: Can't think of anything negative to say

Been using Turbo Tax for years. Paid a CPA to do my taxes one year then went out and bought Turbo Tax. Compared the two and my refund was exactly the same.

Turbo-Tax Premium Edition

Overall a great tax filing program as well as tax guide in completing both federal and state income tax filings.
What's great about it: Easy step by step instructions, ability to pull in information directly from accounts at broker as well as previous year
What's not so great: Need better support for state (Ohio) and better support regarding pass through for both Federal and State

Have Used TurboTax for Many Years

Have never used another tax program and in the past used to have my TurboTax tax forms checked by a CPA or some other expert. No longer do that because they never found any problems.
What's great about it: Simple
What's not so great: Gets a little complicated just before I send taxes

Nicely done, love the stock auto upgrades and complete help on tricking things like "schedule K " for MLP LLC investors !!!

Good For Investments

TurboTax did a good job handling a large number of stock and option transactions. However, it needs to be more helpful in entering K-1 data.
What's great about it: Ability to Import all of My Sock and Option transactions
What's not so great: Could do a better job with K-1s

Only by reading the question raised by others did I figure out how to list gambling losses. It would have saved me a lot of time had I known that even if I itemized I couldn't claim losses unless I exceeded the standard deduction amount. I wouldn't have taken the time to itemize, I knew that I was doing standard deductions.
What's great about it: fine for listing winnings
What's not so great: bad for trying how to figure out how to file losses

Over all a very easy program to use and glad to see Intuit corrected inability to use for stock transactions as in all previous years.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and complete
What's not so great: K-1s still need to be improved. Fee for State Tax e-filing very high this year.
