Filing is less of a burden

Turbo Tax makes it easier to provide all the necessary tax information on the various IRS forms and you do not have to be an expert in math to figure out all the calculations. The program really reduces the amount of time to figure out your taxes.
What's great about it: nice and orderly process

I have used TurboTax for over 10 years and it continues to make filing taxes easy.
What's great about it: Made finding values for donates goods easy.
What's not so great: Had to buy Premier upgrade to cover selling stock

I miss the old turbotax. honest and simple. It is so tricky to print.

Sweat and tears

Return disappeared while working on it and had to find it with much trouble. You still do not allow for home state tax exempt
dividends to reduce total amount of tax exmpt dividends.
Two times I could not enter data during error check so now I am not able to file return electronicaly

TT is the best

I love TT. What used to take hours is now a snap AND I know I'm getting the best results possible...WAY more than if I were doing it on my own.

I sold my home last year. Saw that this was going to be complicated part of the return, so I stopped; when I came back to it many days later, I couldn't find that detailed area again. Just "how much did you sell it for?" Not the part about "what costs were involved in selling the home". Only during the review did it go back & ask for details. In summation, there were many days where I wondered what had happened.
What's great about it: Helps you get through it
What's not so great: Confusing on occasion

Easy to understand instruction about all of my tax situations including Stock Grants from my employer, Investment income, profits from my privately owned business and multiple types of charitable donations. This product even gave me some good tips to possibly eliminate that dreadful AMT next year.
What's great about it: Self-paced, guides you through every tax situation
