Easy and complete tax preparation

I have used Turbo Tax for years and been completely satisfied with each preparation of my taxes each year. Highly recommend Turbo Tax for anyone.
What's great about it: Complete questioning for all entries.

love turbo tax!

I like it that Turbo Tax asks all the necessary questions. I don't have to read and familiarize myself with the latest tax changes. I have had rental properties, work expenses, depreciating my car and rental properties, and have used turbo tax since it was first marketed. There is guidanace when you need it. I get frustrated at times navigating in and out of screens when I have found an error but love Turbo tax just the same. There is also audit protection servcie which I have purchased but never needed. I am a very happy Turbo Tax customer and have recommended to my friends for years.
What's great about it: Turbo tax has changed my life for the better, taxes much easier
What's not so great: like it all
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Best Version Yet

I have been using Turbo Tax for 20 + years. The software has made a difficult & dreaded task both comprehensible & easy step by step through the process. The 2014 version is by far the best I have ever used and the free upgrade to Premium was a pleasant surprise. I suspect it was the result of all the bad press they had received from downgrading Deluxe. It was magnanimous of Turbo Tax to recognize this and resolved the issue.
The program links to financial institutions to automatically download your data making filling in complicated forms even easier. This is pure joy. I can't recommend this program more highly.

K-1 Report

Error check constantly brought me back to the K-1s to add zeros where I did not need to add zeros, I should have been able to just leave blank if there were no entries to be made. It was a real pain in the neck, not professional at all. And I do not know if Fidelity reported earnings on the K-1 companies, how do I know I have not double reported income. I have doubts about the veracity of the software.
What's great about it: I could get the blanks but not the relationships on the K=1
What's not so great: I had a hard time gong back and adding zeros where I did not need to add them

No problem following instructions. I loaded my Deluxe copy into my computer and started my taxes before realizing I now needed the Premier program. Having now obtained the upgraded program, I have completed and transmitted my tax returns for 2014.

Great organization. Hand held guidance if you need it. Direct form entry if you don't. Good checks for completeness and accuracy.
No explanation that some state bond mutual fund dividends are included in tax-exempt interest line. failure to allow editing of amounts (schd. D worksheets) requiring reverting to interview to make corrections.
What's great about it: Organization. Flexible on entry methods. Phone support!
What's not so great: Software errors for forms

Unlike previous years, I had to upgrade to Premier from the DeLuxe edition; fortunately, at no additional cost ... for now. I will, no doubt, be unhappy if I have to remain with Premier next filing season at additional cost over the current year. I'd be paying more for what I became accustomed to receiving. Although I'll pay the extra, that doesn't necessarily make me a "happy camper." Think that move over real carefully Intuit!
What's great about it: Generally, fairly easy
What's not so great: Had to upgrade to Premier from DeLuxe

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and find that in general it is easy to use. My only complaint this year has been that the changes made to the software mean I will have to pay more for the software next year because I will have to purchase a more expensive version in order to get the forms that I need to file my taxes.
I did find that I was able to do most of the work on the income tax over a period of several evenings. Even though the return was more complicated this year than in the previous several years, most of it was just time consuming entry of data. I like the fact that Turbo Tax leads me through the process and I have not had to go to the written instructions from the IRS or from the state Department of Revenue.
What's great about it: Straightforward guidance through the process
What's not so great: Changes to software meant I had to change version
