Worked Around a Turbo Tax problem. But not solved

There were two pretty fundamental errors in TurboTax. You tax expert agreed. I eventually with his help phonied up the data to get TT to allow me to finish and exile. My problem now remains will the States of Utah and California now accept them as OK.
What's great about it: Your Tax expert helped a lot
What's not so great: The TT problem was not solved. Had to phony up entries to get it to work.

Can't Ask for More!

I'm a long time Turbo Tax user and I'll remain one. Thanks Turbo Tax for improving your product and making the process easier than ever! Certainly would be nice if long time users were offered a discount.
What's great about it: Ease of use, super convenient, accurate!
What's not so great: Cost keeps going up!

2014 1040 / VA State review

Over a good product. I did not like the change in the deluxe product not being able to use as last year had to upgrade to Premier version to get same functionality.
What's great about it: Easy and provided good help info
What's not so great: when you finished looking at specific entries screen did not go to the next topic it jumped back to beginning

I have used TurboTax for 16 years now. It gets better every year.
What's great about it: Easy to use and update. Shows refund status as you go.
What's not so great: A lot of typing in the stock sales section.

TurboTax the Time Saver

I am truly a TurboTax supporter. I have filed returns for the last four years and I am now familiar with each area. It saves a lot of time.
What's great about it: The guide me through each section works very well and it is easy to go back and forth to change entries
What's not so great: It was a bit difficult to understand how to include foreign registered retirment plan distributions and tax witheld.

Filing for a deceased

Turbo tax needs to be aware that e-filing is not permitted for a deceased person. The Fed and State require them to be mailed in with signature of person filing for the deceased. Turbo tax asked for my credit card info to file the state return. I don't know if they charged me as of yet. The fed PIN no. was also asked for e-filing but that wont work due to the signature required by the representative.
What's great about it: followed a very organized sequence
What's not so great: Cant E file Fed or State return for Deceased

harder to use

There was no place to put in that showed payments to IRS for prepayment of taxes. This is much harder to use than previous years. You use to be able to go back and forth and re look at areas.It was very difficult with this program.
What's not so great: cannot go back easily to check on previous items.
