A good product can be even better

Certainly makes filing less of a headache -but it can be improved!
It would be nice to have a work sheet on common categories available on 1/1/2014 so that I can input income and expense figures as they come in during the year until 12/31/2014. Then when I file in 2015, TurboTax can extract the needed figures from the worksheet and my 2013 return seamlessly. I would thus have to focus only on exceptions.
What's great about it: Straight forward.
What's not so great: Import feature had problems, and still too much manual input.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Iowa state tax interview questions did not pose necessary questions to properly allocate income for part-year residence status of spouse. Needed to go into Forms and correct manually.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Great As Always

Have been using the software for my taxes for more years than I can count and, guess obviously, have been doing so because the software is accurate, always available on a timely basis, makes a sometimes difficult task easier than one would anticipate and particularly user friendly.
Electronic filing has never been rejected, never been audited and direct deposit to my bank account of any refund has always been relatively quick.
However, they could be a tad slower (lol) with direct electronic withdrawal of tax balance due.
Highly recommend using TurboTax annually even for the more difficult scenarios such as K1 forms relative to REIT income and sales.
What's great about it: Ease of use, thorough.
What's not so great: Costly
Pros: I bought or sold investments

might as well high a professional. TT has gone way up in price.
What's not so great: used basic for 10 years nothing changed on my return, but had to upgrade to premium this year.

I have used Turbo Tax for many many years. I like the step-by-step menu feature as well as the form menu feature. The free on-line filing is simple and fast. It saves me a lot of hours on tax preparation. I will continue to use the TurboTax in the future.

I have been using TurboTax for many years. I did not like needing to buy Premier this year for a simple carryover from last year.

rental prpoerty

I own a duplex and rent an apartment in it. I was uncertain on how to determine the square feet for the property I rent. I think there should more than one example as my tenants rent the lower and have the entire basement plus have half the driveway and the garage. I have upper half and attic. even with the instructions given on Turbo tax I was uncertain about how to figure it out. It says to use square feet of property and determine the percent rented. Leaves question? do I use the entire lot of property or the square footage of the house and how do I determine the property square foot?
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using Turbo Tax (TT) for over 15 years. This year is the worst version I have ever used. Not only did you make it more difficult to select the correct version of TT for purchase but I had to spend several hours trying to e-file my finished return. This the poorest excuse for programing I have seen in a long time. If TT for 2015 is not greatly improved I will try your competitor.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
