Every year I have to manually link Form 1116 to return and select a column. Error Check finds the mistake because there is no section in the step-by-step that explores this issue.
What's not so great: Error Check finds same omission every year.

Turbo Tax is thorough and complete it appears. The system worked very well for me. Especially helpful was the importing of data to prepare the return. I rely on it to handle all the complexity of tax law and reporting requirements. Thank you--it's also great and wonderful to have the data transfer to the following year's return data for subsequent processing. Keep up the good work!

Federal Great; State Problem

There is a problem In the Louisiana State Premier Turbo Tax. There is a deduction for individuals who are mentally incapacitated. Once you answer yes it never changes regardless of any way you try to change it. The final forms show the person to be mentally incapacitated and it follows from year to year. I had to mail the state forms for two years in order to correct the problem by hand.
What's great about it: The Federal Return works great

I was very pleased at the way in which Turbo Tax guide you easily through each section and forms and allows you to move forward and backwards to check entries and to look forward to items upcoming. It gets better every year.
What's great about it: ease of moving around ,forward and backwards
What's not so great: none
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Good SW, but why wait until Dec for the next one

My Idea, Intuit: Release the next year (2015 tax yr) earlier, perhaps August or earlier starting with the 2014 version with any known updates for 2015 and update as needed throughout the year and into next. I'd buy the 2015 product now so I can get an early start and, more importantly, make financial decisions this year to minimize taxes while I am still able to.
What's great about it: Easy to work with
What's not so great: Arrives too late for effective planning

I had same information as previous years but was charged an upgrade fee this year. Will go with a different company next year.
What's great about it: Did the job
What's not so great: Charged me an upgrade fee. At the end of each section you have to scroll down to bottom of page for nest section.
