Even better than last year.

I had some problems making my first conversion from a conventional IRA to a Roth until I discovered that I had answered one of the questions incorrectly, my bad.
What's great about it: You have the "interview"prossess down pat.
What's not so great: Help file covering IRA could be improved.

Touchdown.....Turbotax!!

Generally, preparing and filing our taxes are something we all dread even if we know we're getting a refund. TurboTax takes the dread out and makes the task as easy as can be. And the best part is, you know your return is done right and checked thoroughly.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions making completing and filing your return a breeze.
What's not so great: Can't think of one.

same as last year

too many different versions. I bought the premier version and I'm not sure I needed it. Charge the same price for one version and add premiums on the cost to file instead. It will make the distribution easier and be more fair.
My kids tried to use the on line version and it was diffiicult to use and kept asking for more and more money.
Let regular filers scan in their W2s and 1099s like you do in the online version.
What's great about it: works good no major complaints
What's not so great: too many different versions. I bought the premium version and I'm not sure I needed it.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Go Turbo!
on March 30, 2015

As a long-term, satisfied TurboTax user, I recommend it frequently. But sometimes a prompt can be nerve-wracking. Here's one from this year:
Check This Entry: Other Income Statement: Other taxable income for the taxpayer-1 must be entered. There is a entry box labeled Line 17 (a).
I clicked on HELP and received this response, as had many others, some as long as two months ago: "Sorry.... This question has yet to be answered. Be the first to answer and add it below."
What's great about it: Best feature is import of previous year's tax return. Prompts keep me away from the accountant's office!
What's not so great: Some glitches can be nerve-wracking -- see below

Very pleased with Turbo Tax, I have been a 10 year return customer and am very pleased. A bit nervous about Turbo Cloud and the safety of my information.
What's great about it: User friendly and very thorough
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I appreciate being able to file with IRS in a short and sweet manner instead of trying to figure out what line I'm on and on what form.
What's great about it: just plug in data
What's not so great: None that I can think of

The program itself was much more confusing than last year's especially when it came to e-filing.
What's great about it: Nothing to say
What's not so great: Confusing
Pros: I bought or sold investments

New rental property owner

I was able to get excellent help the 3 times I called in. The wait was longer than I liked. I did not know that I would be paying an additional amount for tax representation and submission of state tax as well as submitting my own rental credit forms.
I will use this program again if I am not audited.
I remember using this software in the past and it was simpler to navigate backward and forward through the screens as working on the return. I miss this option. Now it is still possible to return to former parts but my CD required me to scroll through everything in each section to return to one particular part.
I feel pretty confident that things are correct, but some explanation would be helpful - for instance - how much Social security income is exempt? Also how can I qualify for a working family credit of $9 when I am retired?
I like having the ability to learn as you go and would love more help in doing so.
Thank you for your product! I'm sure I'll get better at using it (2nd year in a row) and you will continue to make improvements too!
What's great about it: I think everything was covered
What's not so great: Challenging to get help
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
