Tax Software for 2014

My taxes include Federal and two states. The questions and instructions were clear and simple. The progression from federal to the states was strait forward. My rental property details were clearly covered. My only con is that the second state should be included with no charge, the same as the first state, or at least charged considerably less. Very happy with the simplicity of entering my data and the clarity of the questions required.
What's great about it: Fast with clear instructions
What's not so great: Would be nice to not charge for my second state

24+ Years Of "Turbotax" Use

As stated in the "Pros" section TurboTax has made doing my taxes easier with each passing year. I've grown from the basic original program to the "Investments & Rental Property" premier version V1400D this year. Just as you feel like you're getting rolling good "bang" you're done and ready to E-File and print. Also the review and verification support, and maximum deduction guarantee are great.
What's great about it: I have grown with this prduct after more than 24 years of doing my taxes successfully. Easier each year.
What's not so great: Twice I had to upgrade my computer because of memory requirements.

Great product

We have used Turbo Tax for years and never had a problem using the software. Last year we used a tax professional and there were oversights so it didn't take us long to decide what to do....go back to Turbo Tax.
Had difficulties getting through the Investments section of the Premier package. We called for help and received very clear instruction on how we must complete the Schedule D.

What's great about it: The step by step instructions were easy to follow. It was easy to back up to the previous pages.

Turbo Tax 2014 - saved me over $ 400

TurboTax has a great interface, its easier to use and more informative than other products I've used. I also enjoy the small bits of humor they add now and then. My only complaint is they don't seem to have all of the IRS instructions in the program. Why should I have to go to the IRS web site to research items when I've paid all this money for the software. I didn't need to use their support, so I can't evaluate that. I ran the software on a 2012 Mac running Yosemite and had no glitches. Updates loaded quickly and without problems.
What's great about it: I liked the user interface provided by Turbo Tax, it was easier to use and more informative than other products used.
What's not so great: Didn't like it when IRS instructions weren't available within the program.

Low Confidence in Second State Return

After I completed my Federal and sate of residence return, I decided to download the second state program. Information transferred from my federal and first state was incomplete and erroneous. I spent an hour or more correcting and completing information for the second state. It pretty much negated most of the value of using Turbo Tax for the second state, and I have low confidence about the integrity of my second state return.
What's great about it: Automated filling and printing fed and two state returns
