As usual, doing the tax return was quick and easy. I especially like the running comparison with last year's numbers. That certainly helps to prevent missing something or perhaps entering an error.
What's great about it: Questions and answers is very good methodolgy. Very thorough and quick. Liked direct comparison with last year's numbe

Unable to find print option to reprint just state or just Federal return after returns were complete.

A great tool.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Able to skip around to get taxes done.
What's not so great: Could not get out of review loop to get to filing and printing.

In my situation there is a need to enter federal Form 1099R information from institutions representing both defined-benefit pension plans with monthly payments and those representing one annual IRA RMD payment. Data entry is clear and straight-forward for all cases. However, the questions following the data entry phase are not as clear, and it took several trial-and-error attempts to identify that a 1099R did not represent a RMD and represented payments that occurred on a monthly basis. Hopefully this will be improved in future versions of Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Overall, using the software was very straight-forward.
What's not so great: The follow-up questions to entering Federal Form 1099R

Excellent Experience

TTax is as easy as going to an accountant -- and cheaper. Your accountant can do no better than the information you provide -- and if that is a shoebox full of paper you will pay dearly. And many things may not even be in the shoebox!
With TTax you are prompted for the information required in each section and enter the data. You can download a LOT of things these days making even that much easier.
I have challenged accountants to show me how much they can save me compared to TTax and, to date, only one found anything and that savings was FAR less than the fee he would have charged. (Wow -- he found a $15 deduction I forgot to key in.)
I have been a TTax user since the first year and have been satisfied every year. I fully intend to use it again next year.
What's great about it: Quick & Easy

Have always used the deluxe model for years. Due to your change in what is included in the deluxe model, I had to upgrade to investments and rental property model -- it really works great.
What's great about it: Better than last year's deluxe model
What's not so great: after practicing, can't think of any

What's great about it: Instructions very clear and easy to follow.
What's not so great: Ran into some difficulties with finalizing the submittion set-up.
