Long-time user who has issues with it

Been using Turbo tax for a longtime but it invariably turns up glitches in the review process in which the software misallocates or misinterprets input. This year's version kept on asking me for the cost basis of a real-estate holding when it has had the information from previous years. This glitch prevented me from filing over and over. Finally, worked it out but I'm never sure its an accurate reflection of inputed data.
What's great about it: It does the job eventually
What's not so great: I always have the feeling that the information gets misinterpreted by the software
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

undesired changes to turbotax 2014

Escalating cost of turbotax software for my simple return may not be as cost effective as alternative methods.
What's great about it: Basic step by step process continues to be excellent.
What's not so great: Changes to deluxe version to not include previously provided features was not anticipated or appreciated.

I have used TT for years. I love it (except for paying the taxes of course). It's clear, easy to follow, handles specific subjects that are new to me that year & usually has the answers to my questions. I always get confused whether to ADD our out of state interest earned to the federal taxable amount or to SUBTRACT it from the state taxable amount. I do figure this out, but it could be clearer.
What's great about it: Great program in general Have used it for years always with good results
What's not so great: Occasionally there was a question that I did not understand...
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have been using Turbo Tax for 16 years and it has gotten better every year. I especially love the prior/current year side-by-side comparisons. That helped me catch a deduction that I almost missed. Thanks, Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Step-by-step process so that you don't miss anything, ability to flip between questions and forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Deterioration

We have been using Turbotax for our taxes for many years now. We started buying CDs and later downloading the program. This year we also downloaded the latest version and did our returns online. However it became tremendously annoying to have the information buffering at EVERY page. Overtime we'd click on "Continue" (sometimes before) it would take 5-10 or more seconds buffering. Also, the calculation time which used to be almost immediate, this year was slow and more time consuming.
We hope you fix this or we'll have to run.
PS: I might expect a slow response and buffering if we were doing our return on the 14th or 15th of April, but we started on the 22nd of March.
What's great about it: Thoroughness; detailed info; support
What's not so great: Buffering & processing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Handled my first-year retirement return including my 401-K rollover and one partnership K-1 without a glitch. Purchased audit defense just in case, though. So happy to see much lower taxable income than when I was working!
What's not so great: Fee for electronic filing my state return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
