K-1 and State Filings still need improvemet

On the Cons....
Schedule K-1's are poorly handled in Turbo Tax...
I get K-1's with over 10 different "13T" lines (13T1 thru 13T10).
The boxes that Turbo Tax uses to gather the information in some cases do NOT match up to the descriptions in the 13T lines on the K-1s, so I have to make the "best guess" as to what number to use.
Also....
trying to file a state return and using a credit card is very frustrating... Turbo-tax tries to connect to the server to get the credit-card info and it always instantly times out... over and over... morning/noon/night doesn't matter.... I end up printing out the state return and mailing it in... I have tried over 40 times and never can connect to the server...

Extra fees every time I moved to the next step

Had to upgrade because box was unclear on forms supported.
Missed free state filing deadline because not all tax forms received from investments by that date.
Filed my father's federal return onto to find out it could have been done for no charge with the Freedom online version which requires filing both federal and state. Of course adding a second state would add additional costs.
What a pain!

Great software, one complaint

The software is great. With that being said, I had to recharacterize a Roth contribution last year and TurboTax instructions got confusing. When I called Vanguard, my investment firm, to follow those instructions, I apparently did not use phrases that they recognized. I realize there are times to consult a tax advisor; but I did not think this was one of them. TurboTax might want to use more precise language when asking a company to call an outside firm as per their instructions. Thanks.

2014 Experience with Premier Version

TurboTax is the easiest software to use especially if you have stock investments. It is also a plus for assisting with various types of retirement income. I had one small error that I could not resolve this year only because I was trying too hard, I think. I called the TurboTax number and was referred to a technician who patiently helped me find the error dealing with a lump sum Social Security payment received in 2014 for 2013. I have been using TurboTax for several years and will continue to do so for the 2015 tax year. Thanks!

I have been using Tubro Tax foe eleven years. Save's me a trip and the cost of paying a professional tax consulant.
What's great about it: down loading info from broker, great customer service

Worst ever since I started using 10 yrs ago

I am using OSX Mountain Lion. Every time I did an upgrade it erased all my data and I had to re-enter data. Screen scroll was difficult to find scroll bar. Some entries needed to use override.
All very unsatisfactory. Took muck longer to complete taxes.
