Easy Input

Promise of filing 1 state return free was never acknowledged by Turbo Tax as advertised. I want to get credit for this.
What's great about it: Importing data from participating companies is great!
What's not so great: Some irrevalent questions are asked.

Easier but still some bugs with states!

I greatly appreciate being able to import as much data as possible from our employers or financial institutions, or a specific guide on the boxes in W2's and such so as to avoid the possibility of errors. However, in the 3 state taxes that we had to file, the guidance was much more generic and confusing. I did not know where to look sometimes, for specific numbers. I was also particularly bothered by the number of times one state kept asking if we were a resident (about 5 different ways). That information should be clearly imported from the federal return, and I should not have been re-questioned about the rental property in our home state on the other state returns. Would appreciate streamlining some of that information or make the program "smarter" to pick up on that detail.
What's great about it: Less confusing than years past re: where to look to enter info, and LOVED importing directly!
What's not so great: Would have appreciated more specific guides on state returns for states other than our residence.
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

10 Years and going strong!

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years and I love it. I just wish it was more competitively priced thus creating are larger customer base which in turn will enable better improvements at the right price.
What's great about it: Ease of use and proof work performance
What's not so great: Cost

HOW EASY CAN PAYING YOUR TAXES GET??

THIS IS AS EASY AS FALLING OFF A LOG. A REALLY REASSURING EXPERIENCE THAT EVERYTHING IS COVERED, NO QUESTION UNANSWERED. ALSO CAN HELP YOUR FRIENDS DO THEIR RETURN TOO, UP TO THE LIMIT. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TURBO TAX TO EVERYONE.
What's great about it: BEING GUIDED THROUGH EVERYTHING, NO WORRIES YOU FORGOT ANYTHING
What's not so great: ONLY A LITTLE GLITCH - GOING BACK OVER THE INFO, SOME QUESTIONS ALREADY ANSWERED ARE BLANKED OUT - HAVE TO ANSWER AGAIN

Issues with some forms. Could have been more user friendly with shedule E. Couldn't get ride of state tax form as suggested.

I've been using Turbo Tax for years. I particularly like e-filing, and the direct import of data from my investment account, which saves me a huge amount of work. I see no reason to stop using it, so I plan to continue.
What's great about it: guided approach to collecting data; direct import of data from investment account
What's not so great: e-file of state return costs extra
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
