Turbotax Use
on March 29, 2015

When changing contents of edition (Deluxe v. Premier) would have been nice to email us old time users an email telling us about the change3, rather than finding out after the fact. Created a lot of bad PR.
What's great about it: Went well, especially K-1, However could be more user friendly for review before filing
What's not so great: Bought Delux as ususual, had to take back and get Premier edition. Afterwars Deluxe upgraded.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Taxes made simple
on March 29, 2015

I've used Turbo Tax for the past several years. I don't think it could be made any easier.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax walks you through everything...quick, easy, and painless...unless you have to pay!
What's not so great: I got hung up on a 1099 form. Took a couple of runs through to fix the issue.

Simplified Complications

Minimizes data entry. If IRS learns from TurboTax, the only part to fill would be detailed deductions!
What's great about it: Carry data forward yearly, Online downloads.

You should show a copy of a W-2 with boxes to fill in so we can see exactly where the number should go
What's great about it: Easier than paper forms
What's not so great: My W-2 had numbers you didnt explain wher to put. Like NJ SUTA
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Solid, but in product payment issues
on March 29, 2015

Solid product as usual for getting taxes done. Carryover from prior years and walking through all areas provides confidence all things have been covered.
I had trouble adding an additional state from within the product (phone support helped me). Then, had the same problem trying to pay for state filing (ended up just printing the state returns). I never encountered this before, and have been using for ~10 years.
What's great about it: Easy to use, confident that all areas are covered
What's not so great: Could not make in-product payments (for add'l state and state filings)

Streamlined Process
on March 29, 2015

I have been using turbo tax since 2001and have seen the many changes that have improved the product through out the years. This year I enjoyed the ease of importing employee stock sales. I also truly value all the numerous deductions I would never have remembered or considered for our rental property turbo tax prompts for where completing the individual tax forms. If I had to give a comment for something I feel could be improved upon, it would have to be the viewing of the step by step and individual form screen. It would be much easier to be able to see what forms if any are missing information without having to leave the viewing screen each time it needed to be viewed.
Thanks again for a great product and another stress free tax year.
Chris
What's great about it: Prior years were dificult to determine stock sales and fee for dividends, but this year I was able to import stock sales
What's not so great: Difficult to view both forms and step by step unless viewing them individually
