TURBO tAX DISAPPOINTED ME THIS YEAR

I WAS UPSETTING THAT ALTHOUGH THE CONTENT OF MY RETURN HAS NOT CHANGED IN YEARS THIS YEAR I WAS FORCED TO UPGRADE TO MORE EXPENSIVE PROGRAMS BECAUSE THE DELUXE PROGRAM WAS DOWN GRADED AND DID NOT ALLOW FOR SCHEDULE d ENTRIES OR SIMPLE SHEDULE C ENTRIES AS IN PAST YEARS.
What's great about it: WHILE IT CONTINUES TO BE EXTREMELY EASY TO USE.
What's not so great: I WAS DISAPPOINTED BY ADDITIONAL COSTS THIS YEAR

problem importing 1099s

Some 1099s show negative numbers as numbers enclosed in parenthesis. For example, -100 (i.e., negative 100) is shown as (100). When importing such 1099s, TurboTax ignores all entries having negative numbers shown as numbers enclosed in parenthesis. These entries have to be entered manually. VERY inconvenient!
What's not so great: does not recognize numbers in parenthesis as negative numbers

Unwanted k-1 form

In past years I could do my taxes with the deluxe version, this year the same taxes required the more expensive premier version. In addition the premier version added a K-1 form .
I could not successfully file until I found out how to delete
this form.

Turbo Finally did it right this year

I almost didn't get my Turbo tax this year. The fact that some of the "common" forms were not included was to my dismay. Fortunately their saw the error of their ways and fixed the missing forms. Lets hope they remain error free for 2015 and beyond.

TurboTax Deluxe

Good product for the home user, walk-throughs and information available is detailed and easy to access.
What's great about it: Very easy to use, comparisons with previous year's submittal is very helpful
What's not so great: Please go back to the previous year's Deluxe for content that includes investments.
