Conversation style interaction was easy to follow. Importing data from banks and brokerages is a good feature and worked well for me. Access to forms and data cells allowed editing where necessary.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Had to purchase next level of software package vs what I've used in past years.

All in all, so good, easy to use, covered all the bases. Been a turbo tax user for 20 years. Thank you for your product.
What's great about it: Super great finding education tax credits...saved very much
What's not so great: Had problems with items on broker import and K-1 entry was not processed properly

(a) Customer service was slow. (b) Handling of 1099-Misc items took a long time due to software bugs. (c) Removal of much needed forms from the Deluxe version caused much concern.

I have used TurboTax for many years. While I am an accountant, I am not a tax accountant and therefore I need help completing the forms. I used the TurboTax forum when i am confused and it is helpful.
I have signed up for the audit defense for years. Twice I have had to use it. It saved me money and I did not have to spend hours justifying the issues with the IRS and DC Tax and Revenue

What's great about it: Easy of use and strong support.
What's not so great: Sometimes it is difficult to locate your errors. You have to locate the worksheets

Need more complete questions for K-1 section

I had a more difficult time this year in entering data from a K-1 related to the total sale during the year of the units owned in the entity. It was a reorganization of the entity but the conversion of the units to stock was considered a sale for tax purposes. There was no place to specifically indicate this type of transaction. Also there were some required adjustments to tax basis to properly calculate the total gain(loss. Finding how to enter that adjustment was a trick. Also the total gain had to be broken out between ordinary gain and capital gain. Again it was difficult getting this information in, in the right places. I feel the questions in the K-1 section should be specific on what was sold, i.e. partnership units and more specific questions to properly report the gain(loss).
What's great about it: Basically is a great guide through what has to be done to complete a tax return
What's not so great: Hard to handle unusual items.

When I purchased my Turbo-Tax CD, I believed that I had also paid for my State Income Tax program - like previous years. And, there was no info on the box about all the other costs I would have to pay if I decided to accept those features. All this info needs to be upfront and printed directly on the box. And it needs to be repeated on one of the first 2-3 screens that come up when I open up my Turbo-Tax program. Don't surprise me at the end regarding having to pay for my State program. And, include the e-mail cost for my State in the price of the CD that I buy.

ADP Nice

I liked being able to pull my W-2 info from ADP. It saved a lot of typing.
It took about an hour. Most of that time was spent searching for my tax information.
I also liked being able to e-file. It was a lot less time consuming.
I have used Turbo Tax for many years and will continue to do so.
