What happened to Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for 20yrs. and this year's software is the most convoluted I have experienced. It is so difficult to return to an already almost completed tax return. I'm spending way too much time attempting to move from one screen to another without success! HELP
What's great about it: not much

Got A Refund

I have been using Turbo Tax for 15 years now. It is a very refined product. It has matured where you can now import deductions and information from banks and brokerages. Good Job Intuit.
What's great about it: Easy, just answer the interview questions. Like sitting in front of a tax professional. You can even import your data.
What's not so great: $$

Need Minor Improvement

Overall the program is excellent. Area for next years estimated taxes needs to be included in the step by step. For both federal and state returns step by step should question whether you want part or all of refund you want to apply to next years estimated taxes. In addition, there should suggestions for what estimated tax vouchers should be but allow changes.
What's great about it: Easy step by step proceedures
What's not so great: Missing key item for federal and state

Still good after all these years

I do 3-4 family returns, all different (Mom, child, joint) with varying degrees of requirements. TT handles them all well. It does get a bit confused with College tuition and who pays and gets credits and it could handle the prior year tuition credit history better.
In the review process, it is difficult to "fix the form" especially with sale of stock, should you choose a option at entry that, later in the review TT wants you to "correct"
I actually have to send in a Form 8453 (showing the stock sale statement) to the IRS, even though all returns were filed and accepted electronically. YUCK!
What's great about it: Better load times, navigation for a more experienced user
What's not so great: Too many requests for additional personal info; upselling
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Continued ease

I have been using electronic tax programs for many years, and Turbo Tax for the last several. The ability of Turbo Tax to take previous year's info and copy it to the current year save a ton of effort. And then it is a matter of filling in the blanks with current info.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow
What's not so great: not much to dislike

Easy and simple as always

I've been using Turbo Tax since it's first MS-DOS version and have never been disappointed. It just performs. Prior to using TT I'd use one of the national Tax services and I always had to pay instead of getting a refund. After using TT I started getting refunds.
What's great about it: Auto download of W2 and Investment forms
What's not so great: None
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Fast, Comprehensive and Easy to Use

TurboTax takes you step by step through all the tax variables, finds all the deductions, and gets you the best refund. Easy to use and you can complete your taxes on your time, saving work in progress.
