Very easy to use

I've used only TurboTax for many years. I recommend it very highly. I tried some of the others and always wound up buying TurboTax.
What's great about it: Logical layout. Easier to e-file than earlier.
What's not so great: Too expensive. The "Forms" link does not stand out. It should be more obvious to use it to review a previous entry.

First timer

This is the first time I used TurboTax (TT) or any e-filing tool. I've done it by hand for 30 years. TT was very thorough and caught things that I may have missed if had I done it by hand this year. It took me only a day to prepare and another day to review everything. It was very easy to electronically upload my 1099's into the tool. I'm very pleased with the tool and will use it year after year.
What's great about it: TT found stuff that I would have missed this year if I had done it by hand.
What's not so great: TT does not explain some fields that were confusing in the AMT section.

Did my taxes

TurboTax made calculating and filing my 2014 taxes extremely simple, with helpful explanations available for most fields. My only complaint came with a section involving retirement withdrawals; I had a retirement account that closed, and TurboTax asked me to review the information related to this account more than three times, presumably because none of the fields were applicable and so I entered nothing. This was mildly irritating, but it did not cause any serious problems while filling out my information.
What's great about it: Simple to fill out, explains each step and what each section means
What's not so great: Some sections popped up three or more times, even though no information changed

Pretty Straight Forward

In some areas, it would be helpful (i.e. mortgage interest) to understand why you don't get a deduction.
What's great about it: Easy, walk-through process

TurboTax 2014 multiple issues

20 + years of tax records were messed up and many lost due to incompatibility between turbo tax 2014, Microsoft windows 8.0 and multiple computer failures during 2014. Instead of being able to import 2013 data it all had to be put in manually. since my taxes are very complex it was very time-consuming. Since records had to be hand added the "free" upgrade to do schedule D did not work until technical support was called. They were very helpful and it was very encouraging that Turbo Tax stood behind their product and will return to customer expectations next year for schedule D etc.
What's great about it: Technical support & others at Turbo Tax did well
What's not so great: changed the product and 20+ years of turbo tax records lost with switch to microsoft 8

Completed my taxes Yea!

The new forms for selling a stock from the feds are ridiculous. I tried to download them and do it myself, but decided to pay more for TurboTax to do it. I usually do the State myself, but the upgrade you offered forced me to do it with you.
I can't delete Income from Partnerships and S Corporations that were in a mutual fund which I got rid of a couple years ago.
What's great about it: Filed today
What's not so great: I hate your new pricing. I only sold one stock and you charged me too much to do that calculation.

Turbo Tax Deluxe/Premier

I had no problems doing my taxes. It was easy to use and answered any questions I had.
What's great about it: easy to use, walks you through step by step
What's not so great: a little pricey especially for those on fixed incomes like me
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
