TurboTax 2014, EXCELLENT with one bummer

TurboTax has always been 5-star and I have used it for years. My prior year info transfers seamlessly. Anything that is not obvious I can always solve by posting a question on the forum. I do have to say that for a person with only a small amount of capital gains, it was a hardship to have to buy Premier this year instead of Deluxe, which has always covered me in the past. I would consider a different vendor next year for financial reasons only.
What's great about it: As always, everything was straight-forward and thorough. I have used and loved TurboTax for years.
What's not so great: I was disappointed to have to purchase Premier this year for my small amount of capital gains.

Needed Upgrade

Before I could use Turbo Tax I unexpectedly had to upgrade my Mac operating system. Also, Turbo Tax Deluxe had to be upgraded to Turbo Tax Premier.
Poor communication by Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Works smoothly
What's not so great: Needed upgrade to Turbo Tax and Mac

No Tax

I always have liked turbo tax for its simple way to file taxes. Hope turbo tax can still let me use the program with out requiring Having to me to buy a new computer.
What's great about it: Pretty much straight forward
What's not so great: Some parts are not clear

I love using turbotax.
I am comfortable with the program I don't need guidance very often. But:
When "doing it yourself" in deductions and completing a section, the prompt should return to the next item on the main page.
all fields in deductions and sub-worksheets should show the amount last years column just like the main deduction page.
Showing what was donated last year in the breakout boxes helps to determine amounts to look for this year like holiday donations to different charities.
I am comfortable with the program I don't need guidance very often. But:

What's great about it: too many good things to make a list.
What's not so great: Turbotax should check the filing status immediately when opening a tax file to insure no one stole your refund

I'm familar with using TurboTax now so I trust it. It sure saves time and effort.
What's great about it: It was easy to follow and work. Since I waited for some info from other sources, it was easy to return to areas I skippe
What's not so great: The scroll bar was not easy to access at times until I got used to using it.

It's still much easier than attempting to do it on my own and I am still comfortable not taking my documentation to a CPA. After all the kerfuffle about the different levels of programming required, I am pleased that TurboTax decided to roll back the changes. I certainly hope next year's package will still contain all the investment provisions that have always been included with the Deluxe version. In today's world, investments are not an out of the ordinary situation - especially since there is already the basic EZ version available.
What's great about it: The questions are still easy to answer and easy to follow.
What's not so great: Need to up-grade to get the same level of service as prior years.
