Fast, accurate, easy

Turbo Tax's import feature makes it so easy to file if you have any brokerage accounts. The information is imported automatically; no fuss, everything is accurate, no typos, and everything is automatically put on the correct forms. Wonderful! What a timesaver, and so great to know everything is properly filled out with no mistakes! Just so much easier and so much faster than the old pen-and-paper-and-calculator way of filing!!!!! No more headaches, no more worries! Thank you!
What's great about it: Easy to use, easy to navigate, great timesaver
What's not so great: none

Mostly very good and intuitive

Reporting the sale of a private residence used as a rental required following a convoluted trail. A write=up by a third party was required to accomplish this. Since I used the Premier version, TurboTax should have led me through the steps
What's great about it: Almost all aspects are easy to use
What's not so great: Sale of a private residence used as a rental was difficult
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Some easy to follow instructions
on March 27, 2015

Good product with easy to follow instructions. Most data entry was easy. However, if got stuck on some entries and I had to reboot to get it to work. This product needs better instructions on how to enter business losses with and without 1099 Bs. This product is starting to get a little pricey. Needs to keep the price down or people will start to use other methods to file.
What's great about it: Easy to entire most data. Got stuck in some cases.
What's not so great: Didn't explain how to enter investment losses.

Past Turbo Tax Programs were better

Got the job done, but with downloading and fixing download problems, took 4 times longer than in past years. May have to switch to another tax program next year and avoid a lot of headaches and wasted time.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions and step by step input guide.
What's not so great: Had problems downloading programs, they did not download correctly the first time.
Pros: I moved

It's filing taxes -never great!

Errors resulted from incomplete information electronically transferred by brokerage. Trying to correct from the "error prompt page" was impossible - the corrections would not stay entered. It required editing the entries from the original page. Annoying and inconvenient as well as raising the possibility of further errors due to editing the wrong entries.
What's great about it: Comprehensive and generally efficient
What's not so great: Correcting errors was annoying as the edits wouldn't take.
