Very difficult to use. Had to make several chanages after the first fun through. Each change was a source of frustration. Because of readability issues (small print sima) required to get to print commands) it was a royal pain. I've used Turbo-Tax for a number of years and was never so annoyed. It was bad enough to force a price increase to handle stock market data. Without doubt I''ll look elsewhere next year., M
What's great about it: Hard pressed to find any this year
What's not so great: Type size control. Already had recommended monitor setting. Finally had to change screen print size which changed icon
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The entry of information was easy. I will keep on using Turbo Tax as long as I file my own taxes.

Great except for 2 things...

My biggest complaint this year is that, after entering all my numbers, my pc froze and my file was unrecoverably corrupted. I'm not sure why this happened: maybe because my daughter started a new return and she happens to have the same first initial as my return, so my return was overwritten? I don't know. Fortunately, I had a 95% complete return saved, so it wasn't a complete loss, but still.
The only other complaint: no sorting of charities alphabetically in the donations section. Would this be so hard to implement?
What's great about it: Leads you through entering all the info on your return
What's not so great: No alphabetical sorting of charitable contributions; file corruption issue
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The preparation of the tax return is excellent. The pages at the end ("answer questions" and review are so hard to get out of that they have irritated me immensely. How do I get out of this infernal survey?
What's great about it: Comprehensive. Prevents me from overlloking items.
What's not so great: Too many side optrions- sales pitches, reviews. etc

2014 Tax Preparation Review
on March 26, 2015

I've been purchasing and using TurboTax for over 20 years and have enjoyed the process due to easy understanding of entries and time-consuming over manual preparation. However, this year was an awful experience as it proved to be very time consuming due to obvious errors in instructions for certain areas and failure of the procedure to continue as directed; such as: "Continue to State Tax". Even after rebooting, it didn't respond and ( had to get a TurboTax rep to help which was also time-consuming. Then if this problem wasn't bad enough I had to go through literally hours of time to find a way to talk to someone live who could help resolve the problem. The procedure to find answers to problems was ridiculous, time-consuming and not helpful at all. Not sure whether I'll buy Turbo-Tax next year because it sure wasn't worth the money I spent this year to get my taxes done. Last, but not least ... my efile submissions for both Federal and State returns were rejected due to some error I still don't understand and I was advised that the Federal Return was rejected because of errors in the State and that this could be resolved by sending the State via mail instead of efile. Well, that was the end of that because after correcting the State return, there was no further mention of getting a mail-in return, but also through efile again.
What's great about it: Usually easier than manual preparation
What's not so great: Too time consuming
