Taxes done quick!

Works well! Completed my Schedules A, B, D, & E quick and easy. Completed my Indiana Form IT-40PNR with all needed schedules and Illinois Form IL-1040 with all need schedules quick.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to use!

I'm Done with My Dreaded Tax Returns!

TurboTax puts some sugar into the bitter medicine of filing tax returns. This was my first time using a Mac for the tax. TurboTax transferred all my previous year's data from my pc seamlessly.
What's great about it: It is easy. It handles my investments much better than I can.
What's not so great: I had a little trouble finding HELP. I don't like paying to e-file my state return

Excellent Software

This tax year I know the addition of doing stocks and etc. were included. From the sounds of the changes, it appears to me that I will be charged for those changes next year and I understand that; however, from what I can tell those changes may double the price of Turbotax. After all these years, I am possibly going to have to check out alternatives.
What's great about it: Easy to use and dependable
What's not so great: After updates, program does not restart.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Another Year Gone

I like the Federal except for some entries in the K-1 (Form 1065) section. If a 0 is shown in partner's supplemental instructions and entered in some areas, Turbo Tax treats it as a non-zero entry, and proceeds accordingly with requests for more info and error messages. The only workaround is to enter no value (nothing) instead of a zero.
The MT state software needs more refinement and help screens that have actual info. One section that deals with MT vehicle registration talks of codes such as 02-DOTRAT, 07-AVTAX, and others that have not been on registration receipts for several years.
The MT state software also forces a lot of extra work on the preparer when filing "separately on the same form." More data needs to flow directly from current and prior federal and state returns.
What's great about it: Federal is generally straight forward.
What's not so great: Form 1065 data entry and MT state

Saves a lot of time

I have used TurboTax for several years. I like the fact that information from the prior year populates in the current year.
Several questions ask of taxpayer and spouse has to be answered each time you open the program even though you had saved the file from a previous sessions.

What's great about it: Recovery of information from previous year
What's not so great: TurboTax did not retain the answers to questions.

Super User Friendly

Besides the obvious financial reward of a Fed Tax Refund, TurboTax is extremely "User-Friendly". The simply worded questions were completely understandable, helping me navigate the sometimes indeciperable U.S. Tax Code.
Additionally, the follow-up/review questions were extremely helpful in helping me to comply with the IRS.

What's great about it: Turbo Tax is a Tax Prep Software for the "Common Man (Or Woman). I particularly liked the simply worded questions.

Well Done

I have used TurboTax for a number of years and highly recommend to adult children, relatives, and friends. The step by step process works well to achieve a friendly methodology.
What's great about it: Step by step format made inputtng information for the various major headings understandable and easy.
What's not so great: A bit difficult when wanting to return to a particular portion of the filing, but, perhaps, that was my inexperience.
