I would have given five stars except that the Deluxe version was nor available and I had to buy the premier version prior to submitting to the IRS. I have used Turbo Tax Deluxe for my taxes since the mid-1990s and always had great results. I have never been audited and have always felt that I paid as little tax as possible for my income. I will continue to use Turbo Tax every year in the future as long as it is available and I have to file.
I think it is great and I trust that it is correct and that I have identified all the deductions that I am entitled to.
What's not so great: You did away with Delux

Great program has some glitches

Great program have used it for at least ten years. Cannot understand why data cannot be saved from year to year. Every time I try to upload last year's information I get an error message.
What's great about it: Great program easy to use
What's not so great: Data does not transfer from year to year

Headed the wrong way

Long time loyal user and supporter. Each year TurboTax seems to get less professional looking and less user friendly for moving around the screen. Not at all happy with the direction Inuit is heading with their pricing and strong arm forcing the purchase of different versions based on schedules used rather than customers preference. For example, not all customers needing to do a schedule C or E need the fancy features for more complex tax situations or are interested in schedule D automatic calculation of cost basis, stocks, risk management or buy sell info.
Not all people with rental income or stock activity should be classified as having a business and more complex filings.
For me, all I needed was the ability to input the information for my one rental and occasional stock sale .... now I have to pay twice as much for nothing extra. It's feel like I'm being held hostage and was poorly executed this year. The $25 refund helps and will give us a year to find other software but TurboTax has us held hostage.
Don't mind paying alittle more each year but not double for nothing added with no options available when actually the software has been going downhill instead..
What's great about it: Convienance, Familiarity, transfer of prior year data
What's not so great: Slow, poor graphic quality and placement

Got'er done !

This is my second year using Turbo Tax and I will use it again. It is simple, easy and even my 12 year old grandson could do it, a lot better than I did. This year, I got stuck on a situation, made a call and a rep from Turbo Tax guided me thru the maze.
Great people, great program!
What's great about it: Ease and help offered by Turbo Tax both in print and by phone
What's not so great: Some forms were misleading, at least to me, which was in the IRS language , not Turbo Tax

Turbotax 2014 individual filing forms

Good product overall, problems with W2 that did not have a street address: software did not offer alternative. You had to enter something to override the error signal. Very good job on transferring federal tax data to state forms.
What's great about it: Easy to use, spotted all the deductions; smooth transition from federal form to state form
What's not so great: problems handeling W2 that did not include a street address
