I would like to see the organizations that received a charitable gift listed in alphabetical order. Too much searching when you are entering new amounts.

Also was unable to override to change forms. What's up with that?
What's great about it: Cheaper than a CPA and easy to use
What's not so great: Still can print the various 2 year comparisons and other summaries - Customers have been complaining about this for YEAR

I could not log on to Intuit since my late husband had previously done it and did not write down his password to the berkeley.edu email address. Consequently, I could not shut down the computer while I was gone. This year was more difficult than last year. Hopefully by filing as head of household (single) next year will be easier.
What's great about it: Questions tried to make it easy
What's not so great: I didn't know I would have to refer to the previous year's tax form which I had not printed out, refund informaiton.

Overall, a good product. I had 2 occasions to used customer service, and both experiences were excellant. They were truly helpful.
What's great about it: good procedural sequence
What's not so great: some steps on Schedule E seemed confusing.

TURBO TAX REVIEW

NOT HAVING A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THE SECURITIES IN LINE 1A OF FORM 8949 MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO IDENTIFY THE INDIVIDUAL SECURITY. ADDITIONALLY, THE COST OF THIS SERVICE IS RISING TOO RAPIDLY. if IT CONTINUES TO INCREASE AT IT'S PRESENT RATE, IT WILL BE MORE ECONOMICAL FOR ME TO RETURN TO FILLING OUT THE 1040 FORMS BY HAND.
What's great about it: TRANSFER OF DATA FROM YEAR TO YEAR IS A REAL PLUS
What's not so great: FORM 8949 COLUMN 1A DOESN'T ALLOW FOR A COMPLETE DECRIPTION OF THE SECURITY
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have used TurboTax for several years and continue to find it easier to use that going to a tax accountant. Every year is the same experience, I set down to load the program and before I know it my taxes are done.
What's great about it: Easy to use yet thorough, Not at all expensive, Fun to use
What's not so great: None

Certain information required for Foreign Tax paid was not included on Form 1099-DIV. This made it difficult to get past error correction.

Exhausted

Too many irrelevant questions and too much marketing material leaves me exhausted. Too difficult to locate and return to a specific input screen. I am switching to a forms based approach in the future like TaxWise.
What's great about it: Accurate
What's not so great: Too cumbersome
