You have "pushed" the upgrade and audit add-ons just about as far as acceptable.
What's great about it: Glenerally;excellant
What's not so great: Getting to help could stand some work. Also Form 1116.

Easy to follow --- K-1s (normally a big headache)

After multiple years using Turbo Tax, it has made the process of doing our taxes, relatively easy, and the prompts make us think to make sure we have everything, and also with the previous year's tax to compare --- it shows if maybe we have forgotten something that we have to find out about. It is worth the time to see how easy it can make doing your own taxes, and also save yourself some money in the process.
What's great about it: Really makes tax preparation relatively easy
What's not so great: Have to have all info ready to go. Not really a problem.

A Difficult Task Made Easy

I was particularly pleased with the way Turbo Tax handled entering all the data from my investment accounts. It also greatly simplified the 1099Q Data entry process--in previous editions-this had been a problem for me.
I like that you can either step through all questions or just selectively use various portions of the program.
What's great about it: Simplified my investment entries by allowing download directly from my accounts . Also, this year, handled 1099Q data
What's not so great: correcting issues found during the review process were not always intuitive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What a mess

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and this year it has taken me a month to do because it seemed that everything that I put in was a problem. Now that I am trying to print the state tax forms it will not let me do it. I guess you only want me to e-file it but I do not want to do that. I just have the feeling that this year I will get audited because of all the trouble that I have had. Do not think I will give you another chance next year and will just take it in somewhere to have it done.
What's great about it: Can not think af much
What's not so great: It was a pain in the butt to do this year

had to buy state e-file after paying more for premier versus deluxe last year.
What's great about it: good step by step procedures
What's not so great: had to buy upgrade and more costly did not include state e-file

Dreaded Downloads

This is my 5th year w/TT Premium. Excellent experience with last 4. This year (2014) had terrible results with downloading investment info. Blank fields on 1099's, fixable errors on form 8949 worksheets that were impossible to edit/override even when TT told me to change a field. Ended up manually going thru 75 pages of form 1099 items to finish the Tax Return. Understand that most errors were generated by provider but the software is very combersome with respect to navigating worksheets and inputting corrections. Perhaps the root of the problem lies in the understanding of TT download input requirements on part of the providers?
What's great about it: Inverview Format, Large pint format, Logical organization
What's not so great: Support: struck out on every one of my questions.

Got through it -- again. Some parts still not intuitive. Suggest you continue to watch first time users in action to see how they are interacting with the product. Your sample should include those who have simple deductions and those with more complicated investments.
What's great about it: downloading from institutions
What's not so great: inability to transfer more than one person's previous year taxes with one click
