Worth every penny. Doing my taxes long hand would have been very difficult. Have used TurboTax for ten years and it has never failed me. It gets better each year.
What's great about it: Fast, easy to use, e-filing is great
What's not so great: Had to upgrade to deal with stock sale and capital gains.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

This year's TurboTax seemed a little vague and didn't match up to some forms, specifically a 1099-B Trust Sales. Line items did not match up to my original form. 2013 AIG did not match up to last year's line item, why? I used TurboTax 2013 so I thought your questions were off regarding AIG and TAX.
What's great about it: Somewhat easy to understand with the HELP and Support tabs
What's not so great: Had issues with TurboTax not matching up to their line items on last year's Tax Returns.

Publicly Traded Master Limited Partnerships
on March 25, 2015

As with past experience, TurboTax is very good. The way you handle Publicly Traded Master Limited Partnerships (PTP) is vastly improved. Unfortunately, you remain way off the mark in reporting gains from the sale of PTP. If I had not stumbled upon what you now are doing, I would have double reported capital gains and failed to report ordinary gains. I'll bet you are driving nuts the former owners of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners. I was lucky in that I sold my partnership units in the spring of 2014, before last fall when the general partner converted the partnership into a stock company by buying the partnership's limited units.
What's great about it: Mostly very easy to follow and makes sense.
What's not so great: Reporting gains from sale of Publicly Traded Master Limited Partnerships
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
