Turbo Tax has and continues not to permit printing the systematic summaries. Also, the process of returning to your return for a selected review or a particular verification requires going through the entire process, which is extremely cumbersome and annoying. Time for a change in processes and procedure without confusing the present process or its function!
What's great about it: Very good systematic summaries.
What's not so great: The process of returning to your return for review or verification is annoying.

Still have to pay to file a state return? What a joke. I will be checking out other tax software for next year.
What's great about it: Seems easier to use this year
What's not so great: Some questions should say "do you need to visit"

DIY Tax Filing

Overall, I like using Turbo Tax. Improvements would include remembering every answer you've already entered when you review/edit before submitting. You currently have to answer some questions every time you go through the screens. Another improvement would be to clearly explain why a return can't be submitted electronically. My state return could not be e-filed due to my "tax situation". Perhaps I had a form that must be sent by mail but it should be able to tell me that. I spent too much time trying to figure out why I couldn't e-file my state return before I finally gave up.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is relatively easy and walks you through the steps.
What's not so great: Turbo Tax could use some streamlining when editing.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have found no way to call up forms 8888 or 8949 box C making it impossible for me to E file without deleting some data and applying it to another form incorrectly. this has made my tax session a nightmare
What's great about it: it was great downloading investment account data
What's not so great: the software had bugs making the work a nightmare. I have found no way to call up forms 8888 or 8949 box C. t

National Financial Services LLC(fidelity investments) download shows zero basis on expired options. turbo tax schd d wants a positive number and list 20 errors. fidelity tells me IRS want options transactions listed this way. WHO is right
What's not so great: option trades worksheet has errors
Pros: I bought or sold investments

When starting using got a continual searching for updates message. Would not resolve unless computer was restarted. Very annoying and time consuming. Return did not file the first time although I followed all the steps provided.
What's great about it: Saves a lot of math
What's not so great: Slow starting up.

I am a long time turbo tax user and have moved from the simple version to the Deluxe version with no problems. It asks you everything and gives explanations as to what info is requested for a certain block. I love TT.
What's great about it: Doesn't miss a lick when it comes to rentals and royalties plus I like the find out more popup windows that explain
What's not so great: None, Really.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
