Overcoming my procrastination is an awesome effect for using my turbo tax. Once I got my paperwork organized, turbo tax greatly eased the effort. You got a very satisfied return user here.
What's great about it: Excellent user friendly

Love the import feature for stock trades. HUGE time-saver!
What's great about it: Easy to walk through tax return via interview
What's not so great: Hard to navigate to specific data entry form (too many clicks)

It seems every year I have difficulty figuring out how to adjust estimated taxes. I know its possible, just not easy to find.

This to me has been the best app for doing my taxes for the last 15 years I guess. This year it is buggy.
What's great about it: It finally worked
What's not so great: GLITCHY BUGGY APP
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Zip & Slog

Overall, very good program and getting better and easier to follow. However, i had a tough time trying to figure out what was missing when an error was identified in imported data, regarding cost basis shares sold. i HOPE I got it right.
Your live person help system was a great help, patient and pursuing got me to a comfort level of finding my way around in TT so when i got the data from my finance guy, it was simple ... but Oh the struggle to het that far. Your explanations are clearer when given an example, several examples per question could be even more helpful at times.
Sometimea, when the answers i need are easily obtainable and things zip along and smiles come (especially at the END) but other times when struggle with concepts or getting needed data, it blames a horrible slogging through the mire., hence "Zip and Slog"
I can breathe again for another 11 months
What's great about it: Asking questions I'd never think of and explaining, last years data and financial imported
What's not so great: Some explanations difficult to understand and apply

2014 taxes

Too many sections assumed and calculated normal treatment when a simple additional question or two would have divined a more accurate set of data. For example, with stock treatment, the assumption was that it was a personal simple same day buy-sell and no other questions were asked about the sale. A simple set of questions regarding the type of stock and company plan would have allowed a more in-depth treatment. This oversight of the program nearly cost me an additional $9000 in taxes due instead of the rightful $5000 back. Because of this, I will not be using this program in the future but will take my taxes to a professional. Also because of this oversight, I'm now questioning the veracity of past returns that were prepared with the help of Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: simple, easy to use
What's not so great: Assumed normal treatment of taxable items

The fed is great but they charge too much for states
