Love Turbo Tax. Have used since 1992 when it was Parsons Tax Edge and continued when purchased by Turbo Tax. Would love to see price of State Tax E-file included in the purchase price to avoid credit card transaction.

state returns need more attention to detail

In Missouri, taxpayers are required to separate their income and expenses between spouses, even if filing jointly. TurboTax could do a much better job of making that process simpler than it currently is. Information from W-2’s, 1099’s, etc could all be seamlessly transferred to the Missouri return, but it’s not. Please devote more attention to state forms next year.
What's great about it: EasyStep was very helpful for federal return
What's not so great: Missouri state return was not as easy to do

It was very frustrating...my printer ink went dry when printing out 112 pages of federal income tax papers...so I couldn't read some of the forms....so I went to "Forms", found the form I wanted to print, and selected "print"...which ONLY gave me the option of printing all 112 pages AGAIN...I only wanted a couple of pages printed that I couldn't read. PLEASE correct this next year! Please allow us to print just one form, and even print just one page if need be. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!

Turbo Tax makes a complex return less tedious

Turbo Tax makes my life simpler during tax season. Having my tax history on file and automatically calling up last year's data is a great convenience. I am confident that my taxes were handled professionally and that my refund is the best possible.
I am sure that Turbo Tax will be more expensive next year due to the forced upgrade to Premier.
What's great about it: I can switch between guided and self guided mode as required
What's not so great: The forced upgrade to premier was not appreciated.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

excellent product. Wish it included a feature to automatically download management fees from investment accounts.
What's great about it: importing investments from broker
