Normally would rate excellent except for this year

Creating a marketing strategy to force move from deluxe to premier just to download electronically driven imports from investment houses will cause many to move to other tax service providers!!!
What's great about it: Transfer year to year records and electronic transfer of investment records
What's not so great: Having to upgrade to premier to do investment records

This year has been the most frustrating year.

My problems stem (1) from not having Schedule C as part of the package and I had to do a lot of work to get Schedule C attached (2) saving and trying to print a PDF file from Adobe. It used to be automatic and all I had to do was select print and Turbo tax automatically printed what I wanted. This time I was forced to save as a PDF File but could not get Adobe to recognize the file and open it for printing the file. It shows that it is a PDF File but ADobe would not recognize it no matter how many times I tried to save the file and open the file.
What's not so great: Saving PDF file that Adobe can read and print as well as trying to get SChedule C,

Had some confusion at the end, when filing the report. I wanted to review prior to sending, and to do so had to print the report. However, somehow the files were sent prior to printing, so didn't get to review first.
Overall, a very good product.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: A bit of confusion regarding pin numbers, last year vs this year.

Its come a long way!

I have been using TurbTax since its inception. I've tried other products along the way and none can come close. The step by step process takes me through the entire return explaining all entries. It almost makes doing your taxes an adventure rather then a chore leading to a completion.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions that walk you through all the necessary entries and data transfer from year to year
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

I opened my Turbo Tax Freedom, and it was showing me my 2013 numbers; however, it would not let me download my ML accts. Therefore, I had to switch to your Premier edition. That is OK except it does not have my history with you from 2006. Again that is OK, but it was just a hassle getting to the point of using Premier. Nevertheless, your HELP agent, Karen, was wonderful on the phone.
What's great about it: Karen was a huge help on the phone
What's not so great: Freedom would not download my ML accts

I wish the government would try to simplify and be less wasteful in it's dealing with the public. I wish there were not so many updates during the tax season.Keep working on making TurboTax simpler and easier to use. THANKS
