Very helpful

The ability to import the previous year return saves a lot of time and the financial import sections eliminate tedious input from printed reports and add a skill that is painful to learn.
One should always have a basic understanding of the tax forms and rules. Please do review the rules available on line and all the forms after it's done.
What's great about it: Investment imports are extremely important
What's not so great: The interviews don't automatically leave you at the last group. One must continually find the way to the next group.

Good product!

TTax is a good product! I've used it for the past 15 years. This year was more challenging with the sale of a property. I was able to talk to a tax expert, their info was really good. I did have to wait for a bit on the phone but it was worth the wait. Just to check, I once hired a certiifed tax pro and got the same results as TTax. I'm sticking with TTax.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Hard to contact customer support
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Changing my tax program next year....Too expensive for turbo tax, with no real product improvement and questionable security for e-filing.

Good product. I've used it repeatedly. Just wish I didn't need a magnifying glass to see it on my 21" screen. User interface could use a little work -- for example after I've indicated I want to store the return on the TurboTax Cloud, it comes back and asks if I want to back it up there. No, I've just done that -- but no, I haven't actually.
What's great about it: Thorough, mostly unambiguous.
What's not so great: Font is too small for my iMac screen, and there's no way to make it larger. This is always a pain.

Trouble

All started well until it was determined that TurboTax Deluxe could not handle my requirement as it did in previous years.
I updated it to Premier and that is when the trouble started.
At that point I could not receive updates and it would not calculate my state. Finally, after 3 calls to customer service and several new downloads it worked. This took several weeks.
The product worked great for the taxes - but the administration of the business is lacking. I have been using the download method since 2008 and this is the first time of having a problem.

What's great about it: Worked great after finally getting the product to work on my system and for my state.
What's not so great: Much difficulty getting the product to run on my windows 8 computer after upgrading to Premier
