Great software -- too much assumed knowledge

I've used TurboTax for years. It's a great product. But often, I find myself puzzled about a specific point, mostly due to some technical term. When I click the explanation, it often uses the same technical terms in the definition. This forces me to go back to IRS documentation.
What's great about it: It gets the job done
What's not so great: Often assumes background knowledge

ID Pin Problems

Multiple failures on e-filing due to problems with PIN numbers. On first attempt, TurboTax would only accept 5 of the 6 digits in the ID PIN provided by IRS. I did not notice that the last digit had been dropped, and returns were rejected.
Obtained new 5-dight PIN using TurboTax process, and return was rejected for bad PIN.
Resubmitted with original PIN (all 6 digits accepted this time).
Waiting for accept/reject notice at this time.
Otherwise, Turbotax was, as usual, a quick and easy way to fine my return.
What's great about it: Very Straight forward data entry process
What's not so great: Major problems with ID and E-File PINS
Pros: I bought or sold investments

No surprises

I've used TT for over 15 years now - it's always performed well for me. Not sure what all the fuss was about with the new version structure - I used Premier this year and thought the cost of the product was appropriate. Honestly I couldn't rate TT vs some other tax preparation software - I'll likely use the product for life unless Intuit does something really egregiously bad.
What's great about it: Easy to import data - personal, wage etc
What's not so great: None really - it did what I expect

State efile is too costly!

I implorted 1099B from my investment firm. The entries
did not match the paper copy I got. So, I ended up

Everything I Needed

We owned a business for the past 14 years and during that time we had a CPA prepare our business and individual returns. So this was my first solo IRS flight in a long while.
TurboTax made me feel like I was sitting across from that CPA answering the same questions that he would have asked. The reviews were excellent and my confidence level immediately rose as I started through the process.
Thank you for a great product!
What's great about it: The Q&A sessions were great and covered everything that I needed to complete the return
What's not so great: A million dollar return would have been nice :)
