Easy to use...coming from an acountant

What's great about it: straight forward, simple, everyday language
What's not so great: would like married filing jt vs married filing seperately to be an easier comparison

Easy Tax

Great software. A little surprised when the rental forms were not in the Deluxe version but you took care of that. Not sure what you are doing next year.

Missing last years return

I cannot believe Turbo tax did not have my info from last year. I had to enter my info all over again. I also had to shell out an additional $30 to finish my taxes because of $600 dollars in additional income from property royalties, something that the cheaper version included last year. If it gets any more expensive, I might as well go back to having my taxes done for me.
What's great about it: Still cheaper than having them done for you
What's not so great: My return from last year could not be found,so i had to re-enter my info. Also, I had to upgrade this year.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used turbotax for many years and it continues to give me flawless results. filing taxes can be daunting but the turbotax program melts the complexities away
What's great about it: fast and flawless
What's not so great: none so far

To have to upgrade TurboTax just to add a K1 was not good. No information for the rebate or followup Emails also not good.
What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: I was not happy that I had to upgrade just to add a K1 and now I can't find anything to get the rebate promissed

Each year the boring task of tax filing gets easier by using this familiar consistent and accurate software.
What's great about it: Consistent,dependable
What's not so great: Left out tax form I needed this year but they made it up later

Made Me Sleep Better

I felt very comfortable after completing my return knowing Turbo Tax did not let me slip up on anything by asking all the right questions and making sure I answered them properly. The "Review" made sure I entered everything IRS requires with no mathematical mistakes possible.My only suggestion is to make it is easy and possible to print out blank estimated tax forms that can be filled out later as circumstances change.
What's great about it: Attention to detail.
What's not so great: Did require answering more questions

All was good except in the section about the checklist for dependents. At first I though I could not claim my son as a dependent because he made more than $3950. I finally realized that that was a trigger number to consider whether it is more profitable to have my son claim himself rather than me. This should be explained better next go round.
