Intuit TurboTax Premier 2015

Have been using Turbo Tax software products since 1996, this will be my last year for Intuit Turbo Tax due to the 20% price increased. - LG
What's great about it: Overall a good product.
What's not so great: 20% price increase from 2014
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Love TurboTax

I have been using turbo tax since 2008. This is an easy way to do your taxes and yet it is very professional and helpful during the entire tax process.
What's great about it: Easy and yet professional and helpful
What's not so great: Change with deluxe to require premier for same features

Appreciated free upgrade to Premier package as the Deluxe that I always use did not meet my requirements this year
What's great about it: Walkes you through each item step by step
What's not so great: Much imporved but still hard for me to go back and revise or add/delete entries

I love the Charitable deductions application. That makes it so easy. All the questions asked are easily answered provided you have all documents that are necessary. Will use it again next year provided our income, deductions, etc remain the same.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow. I used it for 5 years now.

GREAT to do it yourself

Continue to use Turbo Tax even for my somewhat complicated return.have used it for years and still think it is a good way to do your taxes.Would like to talk to a real person when I call for information on trying to get an additional state reloaded because of problems I had with my laptop before I finished doing my entire package.( I had to purchase state over again) Judging by what tax professionals charge I figure I'm making about $100 an hour. Overall I love TURBO TAX
What's great about it: Like the simplicity of TURBO TAX
What's not so great: Wife crashed the laptop before I had finished ,had to buy additional state twice

I checked last 2 years returns and depreciation was ignored on Schedule E preparation. I amended 2013

In general the process went smoothly. However there was some confusion when I entered royalty info from a 1099-misc and somehow I ended up having duplicate entries for royalties.
What's great about it: 1099-div import function is nice

Thanks for years of making it easy

I have been using Turbo Tax for 10+ years. I like doing my own taxes (rather than using a CPA) so I can understand where my deductions are and how to plan for them in the future. We have a pretty simple-to-manage rental property, IRAs, HSA, kids in college and some investments. Turbo Tax has helped us to find deductions we didn't know existed (like college related deductions since we are paying tuition for the kids). Answers to tricky situations can usually be found on the community help sites. Thanks Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Easy to use and pretty thorough
What's not so great: You still might need a CPA for unusual events
