Well done. . .and again!

My wife and I have used TurboTax for many years; the program is straight forward and ease of data entry is excellent.
What's great about it: Ease of data entry.
What's not so great: Hidden state submission costs!

turbo tax review---2014

You need to work on the correction of the scroll down for each page on a Mac laptop (what I used), I did figure out a way but most inconvenient and time consuming for each page. (I had to expand the page, then quickly get the mouse up to the scroll bad before it faded from sight----which it did very quickly, I had to do this on every page----and it was a real pain!),\. And do NOT cheapen the deluxe addition to exclude computing stock sales---losses/profits. This year you had to give us a FREE upgrade to Premiere to include that needed calculation. I hope this is not a way to get your loyal (20 years+) customers to pay more in the future. Thank you.
What's great about it: ok if the you do not lessen what the deluxe package can do--that is disallow deluxe to NOT be able to do stock sales etc
What's not so great: using a MacBook Pro---unable to easily use scroll down on each page

PA forms duplicated the same depreciation into 3 different places. It generated two UE forms with overlap for one taxpayer. It would not allow the printing of state-required explanation pages that TT insisted be filled out before approving filing, then TT would not include them in the filing. Had to paper file after doing screen shots of missing pages.
What's great about it: federal computations were spot on
What's not so great: PA forms were more wrong than right

Confusing and Stressful!

I thought that I had completed the electronic fling process, but after not getting any feedback on the process I went back into TurboTax and read that I had not filed. This caused me to have to repeat the process. I was surprised by the confusion since I have been using TurboTax for many years and never had any problems before. Now I am wondering if I will be charged twice!
What's great about it: familiar turbotax interface
What's not so great: electronic filing and billing process

This application takes the guess work out of it. There is a logical transgression through the process. I especially like the review process that finds my goofs. The evaluation for audit is a big plus and a great relief.
What's great about it: Spot on, easy to navigate, 100% accurate.
What's not so great: None!

In general i was very pleased with my experience. However the questions during the Alt Minimum Tax section are very poorly supported, leaving the average tax payer wondering if he filled it out correctly

I was a little afraid all the required forms were not going to be available. But then a window popped up and I was able to download the Primer version, that saved the day.
What's great about it: Easy to follow as always
What's not so great: Forms missing
