We've been using it for years

Turbo Tax is such a user-friendly program, we have been using it for years to prepare our taxes. We really like the guidance the program provides for any situation that we encounter. It's been a great time saver.
What's great about it: Oh so easy, follow the bouncing ball
What's not so great: Too many products

i have a very difficult filing as we own income property and we have K-forms for lps. Turbo tax simplifies all of that!!

Could not print State return

Could not print Fed/State forms, If I selected Fed forms only it would print. Could not print State form at all. No 1 800 support line. State file must be bad preventing printout. I could read the state forms ok and save PDF copy but cannot print it. Not real happy about this. I have used turbo tax 4 years now, next year I'm not sure I will.
What's not so great: No good help with trouble shooting print problem

Since I purchased a home this year, I had a closing and also interest and real estate taxes for the remainder of the year. It wasn't clear how I was going to enter the closing deductions after I had already entered the information provided by the lender (1099).
What's great about it: Provided information to clarify questions in various areas
What's not so great: Information provided was not as taylored to me as I would have expected

I benefit from participating in my own tax preparations, and Turbo tax software makes that possible.
What's great about it: I appreciate the down-to earth instructional language
What's not so great: I would appreciate a heads-up at the beginning about the State processing fee

Turbo Tax - Premier

I have used the Premier version for 6 or 7 years now.
Overall the program is quite good. The built in automation is a wonderful way to avoid repetitive typing in of information, especially for the state returns.
I like the choice to go through the program manually or to let the program take you through. This helps to avoid forgetting or not knowing some of the smaller items.
There are a few odd things about it like at the end of the process it tells you of a problem so you can fix it, but then it will not let you edit the boxes that have the problem. Hopefully that will be fixed for next year.

What's great about it: Helped me thry some areas that are difficult to understand!

This was very user friendly & I would highly recommend. Each year, this software gets better & better. It takes the pain out of doing your taxes!!!
