I have been using Turbo Tax since the early 90's when the product came on a couple of 3 1/2 inch disks.
Easy to follow, go back and make corrections, and print out just what you need,

What's great about it: Easy to use and follow
What's not so great: At times you just have to have faith that will answer your question on the next page.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Didn't appreciate buying more expensive version

Had to purchase more expensive premier version for the same paperwork that I have used many years in the past with deluxe. I have simple investment issues. I understand you have received many complaints and are changing this for next year. Thank you for listening.
I had problems with e-filing and was on the phone with help for 1 1/2 hours. Finally got the issue fixed.

Never Fails

We've used Turbo Tax Premier for years. We have retirement income as well as investment income and Turbo Tax makes it all very simple.
We bought and sold a home this year and I was concerned about filing correctly and the program took step by step information to make it far easier than I was worried about.

Long-Time User Never Disappointed!

I have used TurboTax for many years, maybe as many years as there has been TurboTax, and have seen the product develop. It gets easier and easier even as my finances get more and more complicated. One year I had to file an amended return (my fault, not TurboTax's) and even that was effortless.
I honestly shake my head in wonder at my family and friends who pay big bucks to have their taxes done! The hardest part of the whole job is putting together all your financial information. From that point on it is a snap!
What's great about it: Extremely easy to follow directions - and plenty of back-up explanations
What's not so great: Sometimes just a little redundant - we don't have income tax in NH but TTax really, really wants me to file!

very easy to understand: loading and correcting information great, and pop ups are great when one needs information on an item

Mostly good

Due to the product pricing strategy used by TT, I had to pay more simply because I had a simple investment to record. Next year, I will be doing a more careful evaluation of available tax software. No more automatic purchases for me.
What's great about it: Still the easy step-by-step methodology and transfer from previous year
What's not so great: It cost me more simply because I have an investment. This angered me greatly.

2014 tax filing

Have used TurboTax for over 5 years, and have never had any major problems. No audits either :-)
The only problems have usually been related to the delivery of the software, e.g. downloads or in-application upgrades have not always worked smoothly. However customer support has always been readily available and willing to work through all issues with me. Very friendly folks even late at night
Having said that I would highly recommend TurboTax to anyone wanting to do their taxes easily and quickly.
What's great about it: As usual, the guide made everything easy and even explained couple of sticky situations
What's not so great: The need to upgrade to the free premum copy for investment processing due to a 1099B was VERY annoying and difficult
