Turbo Tax is awesome!

This is the 3rd year using Turbo tax for my taxes. It couldnt be any easier. I just compile all my paperwork ,& they just walk you thru the process, takes a few hours. You get the deductions you deserve, & the refund as well.
What's great about it: easy to use, they walk you thru the process
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Efficient returns

Doing my taxes via TurboTax (the download for Mac version) ensures that I can input all the appropriate info, see my refund adding up as I go, and get tips or instructions on each tax topic as I need it.
What's great about it: Ease of covering all topics
What's not so great: Nothing

Frustration

I have used TT for many years. Besides my own, I help two other people. It is more convenient, even though I am capable of doing it by hand.
While it is easy to input the financial information, (especially if you need to use the "step by step", there are many places
that are very frustrating.

2. When I'm told "there is an error", it does not tell me WHAT or WHERE it is and how to address it. So if
I place a question to the help section, there is either
NO answer at all, or some answers that do not apply to that particular problem.

3. I use a "Purchased" store copy.........so I would think
that it could cost me less to e-file.

What's great about it: Easy to input information,

I use TurboTax every year. I like it's simplicity and ease of use. TurboTax allows me to help other people with their tax questions, without having to do their taxes for them.
What's great about it: Easy to do just follow the steps.
What's not so great: You still have to do taxes every year!

I have used Turbo Tax for two years in a row. I was very impressed with Turbo Tax last year, but this year I spent more on the program because some very basic forms were not included in the level I purchased last year. This was rather unsettling, and I'm probably going to take my taxes to a preparer next year because it will cost about as much and save me time. So I will say "Good Bye" to Turbo Tax after this year until such a year when the program will again save me money and time!
What's great about it: Very user friendly
What's not so great: Price has gone up and only one state included

been using turbotax for about 20 years. haven't been questioned or audited in all that time.
What's great about it: hard-to-stumble walk-thrus, help with questions/errors
What's not so great: no state tax program for Puerto Rico
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

When you open up Turbo Tax, after you have filed. there is no prompt to direct you to the return. you have to go into your directory and search for it.
What's not so great: I find it very hard to go back and just look at the return.
