after dealing with the crud last year about the investment info, I am really unhappy and will be looking for another vendor next year.

unhappy with extra expenses

I have always purchased the basic turbo tax in the past and have been able to do my taxes just fine. This year in looking at the software in the store I realized that since I wanted to do my mortgage and property tax I would have to buy the next level in software for more money. Then when I was in the software I had to spend even more money and upgrade to the premiere for 1 form, Schedule K-1. Very unhappy and will certainly plan on using another program next year if TurboTax doesn't go back to the way they used to do business.
What's great about it: none

No state tax forms

Worst version of turbo tax I've ever purchased, several times says update successful and no state tax form or ability to fill out

No contact # or any body to help Had trouble last year also Whats going on with the security breach did not ask for permission to take $ for direct deposit of refund

What's not so great: always paid more for program now you are trying to charge extra for state returns and did not calculate it right

I hope to not use this Premier again, the Deluxe was much better.
What's great about it: None
What's not so great: Wastes too much time. Spent 20 hours, forms were screwed up.

Much confusion this year between the software I used last year and this year. Had more difficulty this year than last year.
Software description should offer more help in what to purchase
What's great about it: records from year to year
What's not so great: Had difficulty in selecting right software package. Harder to follow this year when compared to 2013

Dont't like the changes

I am highly disappointed with the changes that have been made to the TurboTax software. It was constantly coming up with "not supported in this version of TurboTax, must upgrade" Why? Why? Why? For as many years that I have been using this software it has always been able to handle everything that was needed to be done. Now it required three different versions of the software to accomplish what should have been a simple return. Please, Please take us back to a useable piece of software.
What's not so great: Previous years encompassed so much more

Missing forms

I'm a long time user of Turbo Tax, and it is very good. However, this year Turbo Tax did not include forms that I, and any American taxpayer that has any investments, need. Mainly those for investment transactions. Although Turbotax allowed me to upgrade for free, this type of hassle is unnecessary.
Any future purchases of turbo tax will be made only if these standard forms are included. Else, there are other alternatives that I will use.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: Missing forms
