TurboTax 2014 Taxes for dummies

Once again, Turbo Tax has made doing taxes probably as painless as it will ever get. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and there are many help options. Excellent product!
What's great about it: Easy to use interface, lots of available help.

2014 Turbo Tax Review

Love the fact that it pulls up info from previous years. On the "Tax History Report" don't use the term "Tax expense" say "Other Taxes Paid."
What's great about it: Lots of explanations.
What's not so great: Uses some language that only an accountant would understand.

Disappointing change

First let me say how disappointed I was with the change in versions - had someone not told me about it, I would have assumed that I should buy the same version I have in years past, since my tax situation hadn't changed. No indication on the front of the box that I should expect anything has changed.
Really would have been nice to be able to sort all the lists alphabetically, just to be sure I haven't missed anything (e.g., Charities).
Not sure why banking info didn't show up on State Return, when it was entered for the Federal return, nor why it didn't transfer from last year's return.

Turbo tax is becoming very expensive to purchase. i will have to switch to other software.
What's great about it: Easy to complete
What's not so great: Problem with dvd or computer stalling
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

For a non-complex return, the pre-2014 Deluxe edition was adequate for us!

What's not so great: Had to buy premier edition because you shifted forms!

Owed more than ever this year

I love TT. Quick, to the point. I love it. I owed more this year due to gains in trading stock options which have no withholding. No fault of TT. BUT I still have trouble printing my return. I do NOT want a copy of ALL sheets and forms. When I select what I want, it asks me to preview what will be printed. OK, I really don't want to do that but there is NO OTHER OPTION! Then when I preview there is NO PRINT button! I finally saved to a PDF file. How can this be so difficult for you guys to make it EASIER to PRINT!!!!
What's great about it: TT is easy to use, seems to cover everything and I trust it.
What's not so great: Printing my return is STILL very difficul! When it asks to preview, there is NO place to PRINT! Keep trying to improve!!

Great experience

I began using TurboTax the year that HR Block's program ended up with my owing MILLIONS of dollars, after three attempts to get it corrected. I have been very pleased with the accuracy and simplicity of TurboTax, and this year's program seemed even easier to use than in previous years.
What's great about it: Very detail oriented and "intuitive"!
What's not so great: I think some of the important instructions should be color highlighted
