What a refund!

I have used TurboTax for years and it does make taxes much less painful. I don't use all of the features such as downloading bank and investment information directly from the bank. The thing I like about TurboTax is that it allows me to enter the data myself. That way I feel more in control of what is going on my tax return. Navigation is simple and easy to use.
What's great about it: navigation is very simple and fun to use!
What's not so great: complexity of the tax laws require multiple clicks
Pros: I bought or sold investments

its deductible calcultator link for charitable donations needs some fixing to print and retain itemized deduction list in turbotax user file. Otherwise turbotax was great!
What's great about it: Good to use
What's not so great: its deductable calculator

Capitol Gains Confusing
on March 19, 2015

I received printed 1099s for my broker. I imported my 1099 info directly into TurboTax. After my Income Section was complete, the Capitol Gains/Loss figure DID NOT match anything on my printed 1099s received from my broker. Very confusing, as all other 1099 info imported I could match to my printed 1099s. Crossed my fingers and pray it was imported correctly.
What's not so great: Difficult to compare with Imported 1099

Much easier to use this year than in years past. Transfer of information makes it flow much faster. Explanations in areas I'm not familiar with, were spot on.
What's great about it: Easy to use and self explanatory

What's great about it: quick
What's not so great: information on topics could be expanded for common user

I use Turbo Tax every year and every year I get a bill from either Federal or State and it always has to do with the 5498 or IRA Contributions. I just cant seem to figure it out correctly
What's great about it: Covers most categories
What's not so great: 5498 forms not covered unless you search
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

During the review of Form 8949 I had to fill in come fields which caused an additional 8949 to create. Had to delete the return and reenter to eliminte the added info and related 8949.
What's great about it: most functionality as expected/as in the past
What's not so great: Investment activity sucked!

Overall it was fairly easy to use. I entered the data and let the program do its stuff. I even paid for the state efile just to keep everything easy.
What's great about it: I like the step-by-step processes.
What's not so great: Having to go find individual forms to edit them.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
