Premier edition handled my Form 1065 K-1 entries with ease. Especially like the data importation features.

Fast Preparation

It has become easier to prepare our returns. The software gives a lot of help to inexperienced preparer, but also allows you to skip to just the parts that are applicable to your return. Also the system set up to pay for the software and electronic state filing fee works very well.
Love the fact that it carries information forward from year-to-year.
What's great about it: I really like that the return is populated with common data from year to year.
What's not so great: Had trouble with getting automatic updates--however, in the end, that was due to my security program and not TurboTax.

MY ACCOUNTANT ADVISED MANY YEARS AGO TO USE TURBO TAX AND SINCE THEN I DID NOT HAVE TO ASK HIM FOR HELP.

Reliable utility to complete FED & St. tax return

Overall TurboTax Premier makes short order of competing ones tax returns. Excellent interface for importing data from most financial institutions simplifies the process & eliminates transcription errors. Does a great job with Investment activity & Education credits. Its fine for regular IRA contributions but things can get hairy when doing re-characterizations and conversions and more explicit Help functionality/Guidance would be useful. The major shortcoming experienced is with the EasyStep interview section for reporting profit/loss with Employer Stock Options. The data entry wizard is hidden from the main interview window requiring prior knowledge to know how to access the EasyStep interview tool in this section. Once initiated the interview helps assure correct entry. Something for Intuit to work on for the next release.
What's great about it: Imports most data, easy completion of most forms
What's not so great: Easy Step Interview for reporting employer options needs improvement

The federal documents were easy to input. The state documents were another story. We lived in two states this past year. At times we were asked questions and had no idea where we could get the answers.
What's great about it: Easy Input of Federal Documents
What's not so great: State documents were not well explained

The feature of loading all investment data electronically direct from the institution saved lots of time and was accurate meaning less chance of human error.

Easy to use - once they fixed investment mess

Glad they fixed lack of investment forms in Deluxe, but it took them time and I had to pay. How do we get the refund after filing? Have used TurboTax or previous versions for about 25 years. Only time I've had an issue with them. They say has been solved for next year. We'll see.
What's great about it: Very easy to use - saves time and math made easy
What's not so great: Bad mistake not to provide investment software with Deluxe this year. They fixed it, but it took time and $
