Less keying

I was very pleased this year as I did not have to key in any of by 1099 info as I was able to electronically download it from the brokerage firms. Was able to do my taxes in a few hours!
What's great about it: This year the first time I was able to electronically download all my 1099 forms from my brokerage firms.
What's not so great: Foreign tax credit had to key it in from my 1099 form.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used Turbotax fireboat 10 years and am very satisfied with the results. I would recommend this product to anyone.
I had to call for assistance when the forms did not match at one point. I received prompt answers to the problem and was able to complete my taxes with good results.
What's great about it: easy to use and complete process.
What's not so great: form did not mach with my statement of annuity on taxable amount

i am hoping to come back to tax turbo back 3 years to be able to send my 1040x (Tax amendment) and turbo tax guides me through it.
What's great about it: filling tax is intutive and easier than i thought
What's not so great: none

Using Turbo Tax

It takes forever to login. After it downloads updates it gives the option to log into TT, but doesn't. Every time I login it wants me to register even know I already did. I saved and saved the file and for some reason it shows the original load date on the file instead of the save date. Oh, and when I click on Review and Rate it should open a new window, not over ride the window I have open.

I was not happy that I needed to upgrade to do the same filing as last year. Turbo tax did allow me to upgrade for free so that was great, however, if I have to buy the more expensive package next year I will look to some other tax package.
What's great about it: worked pretty well
What's not so great: did not fit screen real well. I had to scroll more than I should have

Overall I love TT. Since I import from Quicken and my finacial people, I have to REALLY be careful about duplicate entries. How about a check that picks up identical number entries in catagories? Also, I need to be able to manually review heavily. The "Do it myself " choice really gives me the big picture against previous years (could we go back 2? ) so I don't miss anything. Bottom line: I still like it after 10 years. (22 for quicken)

Made my complex tax filing very easy

I have multiple rentals and short term rentals plus investments, retirements, & social security. Turbo Tax made it easy to answer the questions and complete my taxes.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax asked all the right questions.
What's not so great: I hate filing taxes.
