DISAPPOINTED AGAIN

I PURCHASED THIS PROGRAM AND PREVIOUS YEARS ON DISCS. I FOUND OUT THAT IF I HAD BOUGHT IT ON THE INTERNET, THE INFO WOULD HAVE BEEN PRESERVED BUT NOT WITH HARD DISCS. PROBLEM WAS CREATED WHEN I NEEDED PREVIOUS PROPERTY DEPRECIATION INFO. I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS PRESERVED AND SO I DIDN'T MAKE COPIES OF 2013 OR 2012 SHEETS!
ALSO, THE THE TELEPHONE HELP DID NOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO PROPERLY ENTER ITEMS ON RENTAL PROPERTIES.

What's great about it: BETTER THAN USING LONG FORMS & PENCIL
What's not so great: COULD NOT GET PREVIOUS YEARS FROM DATA BANK

Schedule A and Schedule B

We used Turbo Tax for about 9 years and print hard copy mailed to IRS. 2014 Tax Return did not printed Schedule A & Schedule B automatically. We looked for print file but it was not there. We called four times before someone was able to help.
We share the screen and followed the instructions, we did, click step-by-step at up right then click forms at up right, then look for Schedule A and Schedule B at left list, click and print.

What's great about it: We can trust Turbo Tax computes correctly..
What's not so great: It did not print Schedule A & Schedule B automatically.

2014 Turbo Tax review

Turbo Tax has been my choice for tax software for many years. Ease of use as well as links to additional information makes this a good choice for anyone who wants to do their own tax returns. I am confident that my returns are accurate and that they reflect the best outcome for my tax situation. In addition to my main home, I have two vacation properties as well as a rental property and I am more than satisfied Turbo Tax Premier.
What's great about it: Easily understood and quick input along with confidence in the software makes Turbo Tax my choice every year.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

TT should know better

With a child in college, I reached the deductions section for books and materials. I gathered all that info, added it up and typed it into TT. Lo and behold, I can't deduct it because my income is too high. TT KNOWS my income so why doesn't it inform me that my expenses need to exceed X amount in order to be deductible. Just wasted a lot of time gathering that info.
What's great about it: Easy, informative.
What's not so great: Loses place on deductions page when returning from completing a section.

The software was easy to install, the program is easy to follow, the directions/instructions were simple to understand.
What's great about it: very clear instructions, easy to follow, great job
What's not so great: none I can think of

my tax review

This program, Premier, works very well. All the correct questions were asked when topics were in play. It also made sure that the program would not go forward unless the info was correct. When incorrect routing numbers were used the program got stuck in a loop until the problem was fixed. The whole thing makes filing taxes doable for everyone..
What's great about it: asks the right questions, will only work when things are correct
What's not so great: will not high five you
