Excellent tax application

I was able to transfer last years data, enter the current information for Federal and IN in a day (helped to have all the information readily available) and file electronically. I had to upgrade to Premier because I redeemed some EE Savings Bonds. Yes, I had to pay extra to file the state, but I am using their servers to send the data to the state servers.
What's great about it: Easy to enter and file Fed and IN
What's not so great: Had to upgrade to premier

I have been using Deluxe Turbo Tax for many years. I was disappointed this year to have to move up to the next version simply because I had investments to report. Also, I have always wondered why you do not omit the mailing instructions and estimated tax forms from one printing --either the copy for mailing or the file copy. It's not necessary to print these forms twice and is a waste of paper. There should be a way to omit these from a second printing. I HOPE you plan to include Schedule D in the Deluxe version for 2015. Thank you!
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Printing needs improvement
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Tax Analysis

It would be Great if Turbo-Tax would show a recap listing each source of income and the tax withheld and how it affects the overall amount owed or refund. This would greatly help with changing W4 / withholding determination.
What's not so great: Hard to define which income/tax-withhold contributes to the bottom line

Never fun

Each time I worked on my return, it took a lot of time to find the exact page I was on when ended my last session. If there is a way to return on the exact spot when I return, it is not clear to me how to do it.
Very difficult to find something specific I have already entered. I knew I had been asked for my IRA value at the end of 2014 and was unable to find the worksheet when a correction had to be made. I only found it when I printed the entire form and searched page by page. It is still not clear to me how to return to that worksheet to make the correction.
Been using TurboTax for numerous years and it appears to me to be more complicated with each new year.
What's great about it: Covers everything imaginable
What's not so great: Does not save your place when you exit and then return.

not including schedule D was a terrible idea for turbo tax deluxe and having to force an upgrade to premier to file electronically at added cost...worst idea in the world. one way to loose customers. I have been a life long turbo tax user and now I must reconsider that! Bad, bad, bad...poor business strategy.
What's great about it: terrible
What's not so great: terrible
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Why pay a tax person to do something that you can do yourself. Just answer the questions asked and quick as a wink you are done!
What's great about it: SO EASY EVEN OLD GUYS CAN USE IT.
What's not so great: WISH I COULD USE TURBO TAX FOR MY CITY TAXES TOO!

Wasn't asked for a PIN when filing and returns were rejected. Had to go back and re-file.
Would be helpful to have a comparison with previous year to explain why refund was much smaller with income, expenses and deductions not that different.
Were there changes in the tax structure or any other changes that affected the refund? You are left hanging to wonder why it was so different.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate and enter
What's not so great: Left hanging
