TURBOTAX 2014

I HAD MORE DIFFICULTIES WITH TURBO TAX 2014 THAN I HAVE EVER HAD, AND I HAVE USED IT FOR OVER 10 YEARS. FROM BEING FORCED TO USE THE PREMIER VERSION TO HAVING DIFFICULTIES WITH THE TRANSMISSION OF THE RETURN I WILL CONSIDER USING ANOTHER SOFTWARE NEXT YEAR.

2014 Turbo Tax

Didn't like this years version!
What's great about it: There are no Pros to write about!
What's not so great: This is the worst Tax Experience in all the years we have used Turbo Tax.

Long Term User

Have used since its inception and will continue to do so. Used to take me a week to get all the forms completed satisfactorily. Now, it takes me about 4-5 hours to do the same job, but with capital gains and losses added, so long as we have all our records in good order.
What's great about it: Easy method to do one's own taxes, provided all necessary receipts and applicable records have been saved.
What's not so great: Did not import from TD Ameritrade this year. Had to physically go back to prior year for some info unimported.

TT Comes Through Again

I'm a 14 year TT customer. Have been completely satisfied with the product each year. Decided to upgrade to Premier this year, and am really happy with the ease of documenting mutual fund sales with the new product.
What's great about it: As always, TT provides an exceptionally complete and comprehensive step by step filing process.

Thank you Turbo Tax for supporting your own software this year. There was some confusion as to what box we needed and we purchased the Deluxe package as in the years past, but unfortunately what was covered had changed. Graciously you upgraded your Deluxe software to Premier immediately with no interruption to the return and no charge to us. Thank you so much!
What's great about it: Walked me through every tax situation

Couldn't Do Taxes Without It

I've used TurboTax Deluxe for years, and I don't know how I would file my taxes without it. The lists of possible forms is very useful, and having last year's data on the screen helps me check I haven't missed anything.
The changes in Deluxe vs. Premier are well known, it did make using TurboTax more difficult for me. I mail my state forms, and I had trouble knowing where to request printing my state forms to mail after I had e-filed my federal forms. When I got to the PDF document of my state forms, it was unclear if I should print from the PDF document, or if I should continue on to another screen where it would be done by TurboTax.
What's great about it: Carries information from year to year, checks math, lists possible forms I may have recieved but forgotten.
What's not so great: The whole capital gains issue; trying to print forms for mailing in my taxes.

What's not so great: Navigation is somewhat not straight forward with the forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
