I realize I am a senior citizen and not as quick as I used to be but I had more difficulty this year than in years past. I have used TurboTax for several years.

Premier Needs Work

TurboTax Premier which we pay a higher price for is not for "normal situations" as statements within the prep info. states; so it should "Fully" cover all aspects of having to file an 8606 which we must file for my husband and I will have to file when I start getting withdrawals from my IRA. Also we sold property under a Land Contract and in 2007 TurboTax calculated wrong (incorrect) for form 6252. You fixed it in 2008 and it has been calculating correct up until this year 2014 where I had to do the work by putting in the gross profit percentage line 19 on the 6252. We pay a higher price for Premier so we do not have to do all the extra work and figuring, but every year there is problems in your program regarding these two forms and where the info is found or what we must input. We don't want to change and use another program so I will try TurboTax one more time in hopes you get these NOT SO NORMAL forms and their input info kept up each year. Thank you.
What's great about it: Carries over most information
What's not so great: Forms 8606 and 6252 most definitely need updating

Always an excellent product

One suggestion - While working on my taxes, some of the screens show breakdown/comparison of amounts between current year and previous year. It would be nice to be able to see current year and the past two years to give us a better over all view.

Impressed with how TurboTax took care of upgrading my service without asking when there was a communication glitch about what level to purchase, after the categories were changed from last year.

2014 return

I have used TurboTax for many years. I am a CPA and find the software easy to use and asks the right questions. I did have a problem with the NYS return. My wife is a retiree getting a pension from NYC and I did not check a correct box. If I did not review the return and call TurboTax, I would have paid too much. A word of advice, check the return.
What's great about it: handled download of stock transactions easily. Used 3rd party software to create file.
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
