I would have liked more information on the unusual forms I needed this year 1099-B and 1099-r and I am not sure I did them correct this year
What's great about it: This was fast and convient
What's not so great: I was not sure if information I was entering from 1099-Rand 1099-B was right need more guidence
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Stop being so cheap on what was a good program.Put back the 1099's so the Delux edition is useable.
Unless Turbox chanes back the Delux edition, Next year will look at what other tax programs have to offer
What's great about it: None since 1099's removed from Delux Edition
What's not so great: Have to move up to Premier to enter 1099's

I have always liked Turbo Tax and recommended it. I don't like how Turbo Tax tried to change what you get when you buy the Deluxe product this year. I appreciate the fact that you made things right. If this happens again, I will look for other software in the future. Please don't mess with what works!

The descriptions of items included on the various TurboTax versions are not entirely clear. In my example, I bought the Deluxe version which was what I had been using for the last 3 years. However, this year, one capital gain on a single stock in my wife's account forced us to upgrade to Premier. Thankfully, TurboTax upgraded my program at no additional cost. I guess in future years I will need to buy the Premier version.
However...I have used TurboTax for more than 10 years and consistently found that it is comprehensive yet understandable and accurate. I will continue to use this program in the future.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Not sure if I will going with Turbo-Tax in 2015 due to the need to purchase the Premier Plan.
What's great about it: Provides the every day non-tax pro a means of doing their taxes in a professional manner.
What's not so great: Didn't care for the need to sign up for the Premier Plan, although there was no charge.

Retired Nerds View!

The whole experience was excellent -- once I'd discovered the View-forms tab it was satisfying to me and the effort was clearly laid out to me. I would suggest the ability to review all of the supporting forms be explained or incorporated as a tabbing function right along with the step-by-step data entry effort -- or at least after the data entry function of the Step-by-Step is completed that a screen that asks if one would like to review the exact forms used in preparation was built in. It is really troubling to have to wait until the submission step before one sees all that they are agreeing too!!!! Does this make sense?
What's great about it: very easy to enter data -- well organized
What's not so great: investigating some of the worksheets used behind the scenes was hard. It took me quite some time to find them.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
