Satisfied and user friendly

Itwas all orderly and well explained. Did an amendment for a previous year and it was easier than I had anticipated
What's great about it: All good
What's not so great: No complaints
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Poor Finish

When finished, tried to print out return and didn't get page 1 of 1040 : couldn't get from Forms menu. Not sure what was filed. Not a happy feeling. I guess I have to wait to see if Fed and State returns are accepted

What's not so great: Don't know what Form 1040 looked like

Years of taxes done right

You need to have at least a basic understanding of your taxes to use any software program, since even with the error scanning, it's still garbage in, garbage out. Know which version you need so you purchase the correct program. Go through every walk through option. Have your paperwork ready. Realize that there will be updates almost up to filing day. Don't rush and this will make filing your return easy!

Made pain easier to take

I would use turbo tax again. I don't think I can do my taxes without it. You just have to check your work after all entries are made.
What's great about it: Step by step through the tax process made it easy to touch all bases
What's not so great: When doing State tax it was very easy to double enter tax free dividends. I have to back them out after entry is made.

very poor state process. no place to print state

No obvious place to print state forms for filing and no voucher for Missouri tax payment for 2014. Had to go to individual forms to get Missouri vouchers for 2015. Screen did not show what part of the state had been worked on.

What's great about it: flow from page to page
What's not so great: No way to claim expenses for a house that is supposed to be rented but is vacant.

I've been using Turbo Tax for a number of years now and every year it seems to get easier and more intuitive to use. On the whole, I'd give it the highest rating possible.
What's great about it: easy to use, even for complicated matters

Very easy and straightforward program

Didn't have any problems with my 2014 taxes. Caught an error made on equity earnings that was important. Made a $2000 difference.
What's great about it: Takes you through step by step
What's not so great: None
