Easy Prep

Very easy to use this program. If you choose the walkthrough, you can't go wrong. It covers all topics in a logical and through manner. It also makes it easy to file.
What's great about it: Walkthrough

I have been using Turbo Tax for over ten years, but this year I ran into several problems with attempting to reset my password. I don't this I will recommend it this year.

Not as good as previous years

This year's version seemed prone to crashing on my MAC. It would search and search for updates and then just "spin". I had to force quit my computer several times and restart to make it work.
Also, I had a question about a specific addition on my state return. TurboTax's information was so generic that I had to research state websites to get the answers I needed. If I'm paying for instructions for my state return, why did I have to go find the instructions on my own?
What's great about it: Generally easy to use
What's not so great: Constant need for updates, charge to file state

Taxes Done Right!

Filing taxes is never fun, TT made it easy and painless. Hard part really was gathering documentation. Some terminology concerning stocks was confusing but that really is more on the government. Easy three hours and refund is in progress! Yahoo!
What's great about it: Easy walk through, upgraded to premium was appreciated to complete my 1099B's.
What's not so great: Purchased Deluxe as always, but could not have completed without the free upgrade.

TT does not input Auto AMT or MACR from previous year.
What's great about it: TT teaches me to be master of my finances

K-1s are the bane of all tax filers. They are getting worse, and the ease of including multiple figures in the same categories is not easily done with Turbo tax this year. Looking forward next year to an easier approach to filing K-1s.
What's not so great: Could use some user friendly improvements to handling of K-1 data.

Have used for years! Wouldnt do my taxes any other way. Saves money and you know your getting everything you deserve. Simple and Fast!
What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: High fees to have things deducted from refund if you dont use credit card
