Needs Improvement!!

This version of TurboTax Deluxe 2014 did not explain in worksheets or otherwise how it made several of the required calculations. We are not sure which forms we need to preview and print. The preview we selected wanted to printed 83 pages and the version we decided to print was 18 pages.
TurboTax didn't allow us to preview our Federal Tax Return using the standard deduction. Do we need to complete our itemized Federal deductions in order to have TurboTax calculate our Arizona tax?
What's great about it: Imported last year's info.
What's not so great: I can't find how TurboTax calculated the amount for CSA 1099R, box 2a (unknown), taxable amount.

What's great about it: Puts items on the right form and line
What's not so great: Just this years mix up with Deluxe and Premier

Why did I wait so long?

I've always taken great pride in preparing my own returns with a big stack of 1040 instructions and a calculator. This year I decided to spring for Turbo Tax Premier and was astonished at how simple but comprehensive it was. Did my taxes - with a long list of itemized deductions, capital gains and losses, and an inherited IRA to boot - in just a few hours. The biggest headache was assembling all the paper. I'm completely sold - and will definitely use Turbo Tax again next year.
What's great about it: easy to use; comprehensive; does the math for you

another painless tax submission

I have used Turbo Tax Deluxe for many years now. I is a great program that makes the tax season seem less intimidating. I help prepare returns for my family members and this program is very accommodating. Asking me significant questions that are applicable to my situation helps the process go quickly. I still tend to go through the questions several times to make sure I haven't forgotten anything, but using this software puts my mind at ease.

State questions requested insurance cost but not medical expenses. This is not correct as verified by the Ohio Instructions for Filing, page 29. If not corrected it would have resulted in a several hundred dollar reduction in refund. Also the mailing instructions were incorrect (wrong zip code) as verified by the instruction book, page 8.
What's great about it: Free upgrade to Premier
What's not so great: Problems with State (Ohio)

Turbo Tax 2014

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and it has always been my staple software to file my taxes. This year I needed the Premier and didn't realize it; however while filing the software allowed me to upgrade to the premier for free. Praise God for that. I also like the fact that it is user friendly.
What's great about it: I really love using Turbo Tax to file my returns. Very easy to understand. Awesome software

What's great about it: So easy and reassuring the app isn't going to miss anything.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

The good and bad of tubo tax

I have been working with Turbo Tax for a great many years. Each year the program seems to get better. But, there should be additional help when you are claiming expenses for schooling / education that you need to have to further your employment.
What's great about it: The program is able to walk you thru income and deductables.
What's not so great: Turbo tax should have a full logo on screen.
